Hey all, I'm 45 and could use some extra motivation and accountability; please add me :) I'm looking to lose 30lbs in 10lb increments, I find shorter goals help me stay on track better.

Hi all, I'm 45 and did well a few years ago with MFP and a personal trainer. I'm back as the weight is slowly creeping on and I need to take control before it controls me. My diet changed drastically in November due to allergy diagnoses; I'm allergic to wheat, eggs, dairy, peanuts and chocolate; makes for a challenge when…

Okay so update for me .. so far diary could use some updating from last night nut binge. I ended up eating almonds, pecans, and cashews and haven't logged them. Today my legs are burning, and I'm hating stairs! My upper body is feeling it from yesterdays workout, but I still did today's workout! Tomorrow my core will be on…

I had a great day yesterday, under my calorie goal and I finally got off my butt and put in a workout. Today will be another great day!

Great job Miacaz! Day 1 trying to get back on track wasn't as successful as I had hoped. It's about choices, I think I will start with having better choices prepared and portioned. Recently I have had to cut dairy, wheat and eggs out of my diet due to allergies; and, foods I found I can have are getting boring and I'm…

I love my Timmies and on occasion I still order a coffee w/ 2 cream, but most visits it's for a "chai tea" straight up! I remember the French Vanilla Cappuccino days, then I thought well I will do half FV and half coffee... sounds like it saves a lot right? Not enough! LOL Just not as satisfying either.

 This weekend is my first Tough Mudder ... I have butterflies and am so excited about it!! We have been training since November and are as ready as we think we will be. :drinker: WHOORAH! For our training: We started out with the TM bootcamp in November and moved on to the following (still incorporate bootcamp style…

I'm currently 165, size 8 at 5'4" and 40something. My goal weight should be 150lbs according to my doctor who says I have a muscular frame and he doesn't like the BMI calculations as they don't take into account each persons build. So my plan is to work my way to 150lbs and re-evaluate.

I love my Y too! It's where I got my fitness start :) If they weren't as welcoming I don't think I would have ever started, joined a few gyms prior to the Y and quit them all as they didn't make me feel comfortable... felt like I was getting "are you kidding me fatty" looks; which were probably in my head but still I felt…

To you ladies who are 5'4", some questions :) - what kind of build are you? (small, medium, large) I'm probably medium/large build, never could get my fingers around my wrist but can now. Wrist measurement is 6.5" - how much do you currently weigh and what size pants on average do you wear? Currently I'm 161.4 and in a…

My dog is my running partner, she's a bordercollie/lab cross and absolutely loves it! We started with short runs 5K and under when she was a year old, it definately helps to burn off some of her energy; which has helped us in draining the energy so she doesn't get into mischief as much when bored. When we asked the vet his…

When I was 37 I was diagnosed with osteo arthritis in my left knee. My symptoms were similar to what you are experiencing sharp pains, popping, cracking of bones and a bit of swelling in my knee. I was advised to lose weight and start exercise to help the symptoms. Well a few years later (and a few more) I decided it was…

To you ladies who are 5'4", some questions :) - what kind of build are you? (small, medium, large) - how much do you currently weigh and what size pants on average do you wear? - what is your goal weight and why? - how old are you (if you don't mind sharing) - and have you had any kids? (I know from experience that can…

Nope my husband doesn't care, he never has. When we first met I was on the heavier side and prior to getting married I lost a lot of weight... since then we both have gained weight together. He hasn't joined MFP but he's on board and down 40lbs with me. He's always told me he loves me, and has made me feel special,…
