Happy day for you. You are making a positive difference in people's lives and this is what counts. So glad you're on the earth!!

Sorry - EA shut down everything pertaining to Sport Active. I've been using Sports Active2.0 since Nov of 2010 and among my other Exergames, this one is my favorite of all times. It is the best for keeping my type II diabetes under control, the mix of cardio, resistance and balance exercises (I have this on the Wii) is…

Baby what you see, is what you get. Don't take on a construction project, it won't work.

Congrats - Lipitor has a generic equivalent. Also see if their patent ran out which would then make it cheaper, so check it out.

Speak with your doc. According to my endo, What you take at night, works for the morning numbers and what you take in the a.m. affects the night numbers. A glucose level of 74 is not a problem once you're body becomes use to it being low. The closer you can stay toward "normal" the better off you are.

You are not alone ---- You have "Me" "Myself" and "I" that's makes three. I've done Thanksgiving alone before and depending on the type of family you have, that may be a good thing. or not, :grumble:

Cause a lot of men want to e lied to. We, men and women, are usually in the people reconstruction business. We don't see them for who they are but for who we "think" we can make them out to be. Wrong, wrong, wrong, what you see is what you get. "If it is faked in the front end, it will be faked in the back, you just missed…

EA Sports Active, the first one, EA More ..., the second one and EA Sports Active 2.0 will work your body. I'm not currently using the above games for weight loss, however, EA is the best at keeping my type II diabetes glucose numbers in the normal range. I also use Mel B's Get Fit With Mel B, which you can find for the…

I got that too. I use to belong to a Virtual Walking Club, a famous one. We would have challenges and record how many steps or what Walk Aerobic we used for the day and then try to calculate the number of steps/miles/calories burned. I joined a challenge group, one I was invited to join. I was putting in a lot of…

Read up on Foam Rolling, see if doing that might be helpful in preventing shin splints.

I dropped 50lbs since being diagnosed with type II back in 2001. I'm 5'3" and 132 pounds and workout (Circuit Train, aka Boot Camp; Zumba, Step Aerobics, High Intensity Cardio six days a week. However, if I skip 3/4 days on the fifth day, my blood glucose numbers go sky high so for me, I know that it's being and staying…

Wow!! I'm diabetic and I know that when one has a cold, flue, infection, diabetic or not, your blood glucose levels rise. Also you didn't fast. Their advice was totally unacceptable given your circumstances. I'm just a faceless, well kind of, person on a community form, but you should do some research to find out what I'm…

You may want to try Body-weight Conditioning, using your own body as a weight, http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Your-Own-Gym/dp/0345528581/ref=pd_sim_b_2. The link is not UK Amazon, it is USA.

Smartwool socks are the BOMB! Found out about them when my son took me hiking a couple of years ago. Fell in love with the hiking and skying socks, then found out they have socks for runners and exercise. They are the best. Expensive on the front end, but cheap over the long run and fabulous for the feet.

Someone define "Big Bone" please. Having "dense" bones or brittle bones, is not a matter of size but weight. If I went around and observed all the skeletons I could find, human skeletons, am I going to see bones that are bigger in circumference depth and breadth, or am I going to have to get out my scales and get the…

SHBoss1673, I had to go check your profile to see where you lived because the information you just gave is the same info I received while attending my church's Get Fit program. Since you're in Mass, and I live in Brooklyn, NY, I don't think you were there or maybe you were. Big church, and folks come from all over. But I…

Hey jarhead, not a Marine but my son was a jarhead like you and was known as a dark green Marine

I prefer "Black" but at 60 I seen it all, or more correctly been called it all: Colored, negro, N****, African/American, etc. Spike Lee's School Daze anyone? By the way, Africa is a Continent and not a county, and there many ethnicity's, skin colors, racial groups within the Continent. Just like America, United States, is…

By the way this is a great discussion - It is helping to break down invisible barriers even if your feelings get hurt. In order to fix something, sometimes you have to crack things open to get to the part that is sick and that hurts. Think of a heart surgeon sawing through and cracking open someone's chest cavity to get to…

@Fieldsy, Please define a "long time ago." In order to talk about something intellegently we have to come to terms with how we define and use a word. For me, 1987-I was transferring to a four year school after getting a 2yr degree. Standing in a small, very small elevator, to go to an office to drop off papers. two…

" I can understand the elderly black people feeling this way, but people my age I just don't get." People in "that" age group, which I guess includes me, have raised people your age and talked about their experience. Weather you have actually experienced it or not, the brain records everything it has heard, seen and…

" ...Also, I find it odd that black people often say they are proud to be black. If I said I am proud to be white, Id sound like a racist." Fieldsy one of the issues I have is this, because someone says, "I'm proud to be black," who happens to be black doesn't mean everyone that is black a) is saying that and b) "The Black…

^^This^^ and, "If you fail to define yourself, you allow others to define you then judge you by there definition" A.R. Bernard. A short history, Currently live in a neighborhood that was once "white," it is now mostly black; however, it is changing back to "white," or mixed. (Nothing ever remains the same, economics will…
