We made this recipe, and it was SOOO good! Will definitely make it again! Thanks so much!!!

Seeing the doc tomorrow. Thinking that will be the diagnosis. Hoping to get some answers and a good game plan to start feeling better. Just starting the weight loss thing, too, so maybe we'll even see some positive changes there!

I had a tubal ligation done at age 25, and it didn't affect my cycles at all - still bled lots, cramped lots. Had it reversed 9 years later, and things got worse initially, and are now finally getting better (16 months later).

We are using MFW this year, and we both (my 9-year-old son and I) both like it pretty well so far. We're finishing Week 6 tomorrow. This year's focus is Exploring Countries and Cultures, and the curriculum is a unit-study based curriculum. We school year-round, but take a week off between each country (sometimes do two…

We break from 11:30 - 1:00 most days. My 9-year-old son needs it, I need it. Usually while he's finishing up math, I change into my exercise clothes. Then we both go downstairs - he gets to play wii while I run. After 30-45 minutes, I make his lunch and then he eats while I shower. I eat while he works on his geography or…

Well, bad news ladies. We lost the baby last night. This miscarriage was very different from my first one - no red bleeding or cramps until I actually passed the baby. We're doing okay, still have to tell our 9-year-old son, which will suck. But, hopefully we'll be back here again someday. Good luck to you all on a happy,…

So far, so good. Those two trips to the bathroom were the only times I had any spotting yesterday. I did finish cleaning the house for company, but had hubby do any heavy/extra effort stuff. Enjoyed time with friends last night - they are due with number 5 any day! And Mrs. Friend told me she spotted all the way through…

Emotional day for me today. I hit 10 weeks today, and my weekly photo (done every Friday since week 7) confirms that I have just the slightest of bumps, so YAY! I feel like I'm actually pregnant, and not just super tired with really sore boobs! This afternoon, when I went to the bathroom, I wiped just the tiniest bit of…

Gained my first pound this week - bummer! I'm just 10 weeks, was planning to making it to 13 before seeing any gain. Haven't been logging my eating, but have been staying with my same eating habits, for the most part. When I sat down to figure out how I gained that pound (since I'm still working out 40 minutes 5 days per…

I guess I'm technically expecting a rainbow, then. Not sure I like the term as we have been on this road to expand our family since before we lost our 10-year-old daughter last Fall. This baby has been planned since last June when I had a tubal reversal with the blessing of both of my kids - they both wanted more kids in…

You're soooo close! Yay! Congrats and good luck with an easy, healthy delivery!!!

Only 8 weeks today, but I've lost 5.5 pounds so far. My tummy's unhappy all day, except from 3-8pm daily. I try to eat a little here and there during the day, but 90% of my calories are coming in that 3-8pm timeframe. With previous pregnancies I gained 30 pounds each time, but ate however I wanted and didn't know the…

Aphrodite - Sounds like you're doing AMAZING! I hope I can emulate you and lose a little before I start to gain. I've lost 4 pounds since my BFP 3 weeks ago, due in large part to not always feeling I can eat much. I'm still exercising like I did before, and have changed my goal from "lose a pound per week" to "lose a half…

Along with bringing home a baby blanket for the dogs to sniff, go ahead and "sit," "down," and "stay" them. Our dogs understand "bellies," which means they roll onto their backs and show bellies. This is usually a dog's most submissive place. Get out the blanket and put it on them for a minute, while keeping them…

How incredibly odd it feels to have no energy! There's tired, and there's, "Wake me up in two years."

Everyone's different, and since this is your first pregnancy, it's quite possible that you won't gain more than a pound during the first trimester. Talk to your doc - mine is totally fine with me losing weight now. He doesn't want to see me lose more than 3 pounds per month, but said that by the time I'm 6 months along he…

Rachypompa - Oh my goodness...I was scared for you while reading that! I am SOOO glad you got to see that precious little heart pumping along. So scary. Did the doc say anything about a subchorionic hemmorrhage? Some ladies get them - it's like a little blood clot caught between the sac and the uterine wall. Most of the…

licha75 - Yay for seeing baby!!! Rachypompa - What have you come up with for an exercise plan? Could you bike or swim? Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers concerning my low progesterone. I still have to wait until next week to see if my level is rising, but I'm feeling much less panicked about it. I just have to keep…

Bummer...My progesterone results just came in and they're really low. Please pray for a healthy baby and that we can somehow turn this around! Doc increased my prometrium from 200mg twice per day to three times per day. Next check will be Friday (with Monday results).

While I can't speak for anyone else, all my hcg levels have been done completely on my own. I am super lucky in that my hubby is the director of laboratory services in our small-town hospital, and is happy to run my hcg as a way to do quality-control on one of his machines. I would suspect that since this is your first…

Oh, your mother! I'll bet she's enjoying herself! No, I haven't done any screens - don't know if I will. If I do, it will only be for things that can be detected by a blood sample. How 'bout you - do you plan to do the testing?

I'm carrying number 3 (if you don't count a miscarriage at 13 weeks between the first two), however I have no idea what to expect this time around. #1 was a very easy, straight-forward pregnancy/delivery and I gained 30 pounds. Lost 25 of that before #2 came along and gave me severe nausea that had to be medicated - gained…

You gals are all so stinkin' cute! Can't wait for my bump!

Thank you all! I will try to get more calories in - my biggest problem is that I feel full so quickly and am never hungry. Glad I'm not upchucking what I do eat! You all rock. Thanks bunches...

Ultrasound looked great today! Too early to see a heartbeat (5 weeks, 4 days), but the gestational sac and yolk sac looked just right. The tech even found my corpus luteum and showed me how it's doing what it's supposed to be doing. She said everything looked just as it should in a good, healthy pregnancy! Woke up with…

Not really feeling preggers yet, either. Tired, occassional boob tenderness, and I do think my nose is more sensitive, but no morning sickness yet. My hcg has been looking good so far - on 7/2 (evening) it was 720; 7/3 (morning) it was 1100; 7/5 (evening) it was 2200. Probably will try to get another one tomorrow morning…

Joining y'all in the first tri! Just got a BFP on Monday - yay! We've been trying for 13 months, so we were completely shocked to see 2 lines - just thought it would never happen. This is our 2nd go round with kids - my youngest will be 10 with this baby comes! I don't see my doc until August 1, but he did have my thyroid…

Hello, all! I'm Jill - married to Joe for 13 years, and I'll be 35 this summer. I have two kids - Jacob is 9 and we will be starting My Father's World (Exploring Countries and Cultures) on July 9. I'm super-excited, as this will be a new curriculum and pretty much a new approach for us. I've always been more rigid -…

I do dried cherries, almonds, celery, and purple onion in my chicken salad. And you can skimp on the mayo (or use low-fat) as much as you want - maybe add in a little dijon. Oh, and I cook my chicken in bacon grease - after crumbling up the bacon for mixing in with the chicken salad. I haven't made my recipe since I've…

I'm a recovering Coke fiend. I started just trying to go one day, and had to supplement with coffee and ibuprofen for the headaches. After a couple weeks of being able to skip a day with Coke, I tried to skip a whole weekend. Try to pick days where you know you'll be busy enough to keep your mind off your addiction. Over…
