fantastic Scott!!!!

To slow the reduction of muscle mass....create a small deficit (like a pound per week as your goal), get a good amt of protein....(I use 40 % protein / 40% carbs / 20% fat)....when you are ready, try to get some kind of weight workout in. You can do this at home without a gym. I use the TDEE method, which means you…

I think your "burns" are over-estimated.....1000 calories per workout? Are those estimates from MFP exercise database?

Vegamite sandwich

I'm in ROUND II in the last month....lost 15 pounds on round I (started this past April), so far lost 16 pounds this round. I had 1 rest week between rounds. TIPS: Do the "classic" schedule get your nutrition in check (follow the macronutrient ratios for months 1 and 2, you can keep using month 2 long term if you want) up…

WHAT???? get out!!! you look so young compared to the first pic!!! Congratulations.
-
Looks like fat to me (its too thick) - keep working at your diet and exercise
-
HOLY CRAP BATMAN!!! Is that you? wow!

I'm in my last month of my 2nd Round of the original P90x (classic schedule) with one week off between rounds...lost 15 pounds during first round, and have lost 16 pounds (and counting) and I'm not finished with round 2. The originally is longer --- but its the best. If you get the P90x original - do the "classic "…

nope....I never listen to that....there are so many variables. How much YOU burn at exercise, your age, hormones, types of workouts, etc... All calculators are general estimates and everyone's body reacts differently.

WOW! duuuuude! amazing :)

veggies are the best - those are fiber carbs! - but shoot for a well balanced macro % if you are trying to hold onto muscle during weight loss .....for me 40/40/20 works well (protein / carbs /fat)...you can purchase some whey protein (yum chocolate flavor) to mix with skim milk....make sure one scoop is at least 30g of…

Your abs aren't showing thru, so my guess is it's still body fat...with a glob at the belly (the hardest part to lose). You should now hit a weight lifting program followed by maybe 20 minutes of a HIIT workout. Work on recompostion now. There are some good programs on bodybuilding.com for free to follow. Plus 50 pounds is…

20 lbs in 2 months....is pretty unrealistic. Even at 30% off your TDEE, you won't hit 107 in time.....do it the right way. Log accurately, workout hard, eat the same calories daily ....
-
107lbs put her at 19.6 BMI (18.5-24.2 is normal range). NIH website: http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm

Start as high as possible, because after you lose a bit (15 lbs or so), you will have to drop your calories down a little again....this may continue a few times depending on how many pounds you are trying to lose. So you don't want to start really low.
-
If you eat toooooo low....you are more likely to fall off the wagon. Do the calculations right, be patient, you didn't gain the weight in a couple of weeks....so its not going to come off in a couple of weeks. Two methods: MFP calculations with using their exercise calculations...you eat at least 1/2 of those exercise…

kICk :p

BMI calculations were guidelines for the average population (before obesity was a huge problem). Very muscular athletes usually can't go by BMI.... if you're NOT one of those, then a good guideline is shoot for the middle of your BMI as a scale goal. There's also fat percentage as you mentioned, and also waist to hip ratio…

Yes.....if you were chopping wood for two days, using different muscles...my guess Is the one pound is water...but it could be from too much sodium in last nights dinner...could be from poop in the canal.... Don't sweat 1 pound...it will fluctuate...be sure to drink enough water

You are a DYNA-MIGHTY-MOUSE!!! Amazing results! Great work and dedication :)

I'm not your age (heh-heh) but I am 5' 8" and started at 183 and am done to 152, and also did 1 pound (with a bonus pound extra here and there) per week. I'm down 31 pounds and shooting for probably 142 which puts me in the middle of the BMI. I might go into the 130's if that's what it takes to show the abs more. We'll…

WOW! That's amazing....congratulations on your hard work. You look great!!!! :)

Interesting....I'll put my little two cents in :) I'm 51 and in my last month of P90x (classic schedule)...this is my 2nd round in a row. Started in April. Kept my calories as high as possible with a slight deficit only losing 1 pound per week (sometimes got in what I call a "bonus" pound)....I've lost 30 pounds to-date.…

You're not trying to lose weight? Then why are we here after 3 pages of postings? Over oatmeal? I'm done.

Based on the TDEE method, Male / 5' 7" tall / 140 lbs / age 55 with 20% deduction (using "moderately active" ) I come up with 1750 calories per day for you to lose 1 pound per week....you're eating over that "most days" so you are eating up your deficit....…
