  • Kcvance gave you great advice! You might want to check out Stop The Thyroid Madness physician referral page for doctor in your area. I have struggled with docs treating lab results for years - I was lucky that I did not get the 'depressed' label nor the drugs because it's been thyroid all along. I have recently changed…
  • Oh my I was frustrated and sick. I went to endo who 'thought' I had Hashimoto's but never tested. I found a new GP that is ND and MD - he ran all kinds of tests, changed my meds back to Armour. He has me on several suppliments and I've gone gluten free. I'm feeling much much better! I have dumped the prevuios GP and will…
  • [/quote] I never heard of Armour before now. I just read up on it - provides TH4 and TH3, rather than how levo works (just TH4 which is expected to be converted to TH3). Interesting... I'm going to discuss this with my endo as I don't produce the hormone at all on my own. And, I had a set back (energy, etc.) a couple weeks…

  • Because of the very quick 1/2 life on Armour - I always avoided taking my dose right before a blood test. I felt my results were scewed high. Check with your doc and/or Armour.
  • I'm really restricting my sugars so I crave sugar anything. I find when I eat a meal that is high in carbs (pasta) the sugar craving is really really bad. I wanted a mint last night - I have never liked mints but would have eaten a package of them last night if they had been in the house. LOL
  • +20 years with Hypothroid. When levels are incorrect I gain 1-2 pounds a week but never seem to loose them. I'm hoping I can exercise and diet to better health lower blood pressure and lower sugar levels before additional meds become necessary.
  • I've been on thyroid meds 10+ years. Weight is becoming a huge problem LOL! I hate/love BMI that is putting me not just at obese but Obese 2. I am looking for other thyroid friends. I'm on the bubble for Type 2 Diabetes and need to get weight and sugar under control NOW! Oh and latest blood test indicate high'ish TSH…
