I have been through menopause for a while now, but my wieght has been steadily going up. Just in the last year I have put on only 2-3 lbs but my shape has changed. I look like I swollowed a basketball. That dredded belly fat is here. Nothing fits, I had to buy all new summer clothes. Two bad days (like last weekend) will…

My trainer told me to just be a mindful eater and eat only when hungry. It is all to easy to eat because food is available. I went to Europe for two weeks recently and didn't gain any weight. Walking a ton and being careful with what I atehelped so much. On the other hand I had a family reunion over the 4th, did the…

I will be 60 this year and I also feel less motivated to work out and eat heathy. I don't cook very much so we go out often. I too have worked out and eaten sensibly for years, but in the last year I have slacked on regular exercise and eating correctly. I have come to dread the text from my trainer, which I just received,…

A friend calls wine "liquid french fries" I tend to agree, nothing nutruious about either wine or french fries. That doesn't mean I don't eat them or drink wine. That glass of wine or two tasts so great after work. I do try to save the wine for the weekend (not always successful). The weeks I do abstain from wine are…

good luck this week, you can do it!!!

great idea of having an alcohol free weekend once a month. I also make sure I get a good work out in on the days I am going out in the evening.
-
I feel I start over almost every Monday morning. It is frustrating, I plan to make a plan for Tursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am home this weekend so I feel I will be successful.

I am so glad I found this group. I am going to turn 60 this coming summer. Over the last year I have put on 15 lbs., that on top of the 15 I already had makes for a big 30 lbs I need to lose. I thank you for your motivational entries. I am going to be visiting this everyday to find the motivation. Thanks everyone

I should have said no, I had a great plan yesterday then I got a dinner invitation we all know what that means, well I know what that means. more than one glass of wine. Today is a new day. I logged all my calories yesterday, still under my total. Great work out today, I will start over today. good luck to everyone as the…

I was successful last night also. Gotta say the reward of feeling so good today was worth resisting last night. I did do some deep breathing while taking a moment at work before I left, spent about 5 mins talking to my great co-workers. I have a big work out planned for today. Gonna be a good day
-
I ended my work day early, am taking a moment to regroup before going home to "celebrate' my early day. I feel the pull toward that bottle of wine. I shall resist.

It is a struggle everyday, especially in the evening. Around 6:00 pm I start thinking about that first glass. Not today. Love the support here. Off to work and my normal AF day

I went away for a girl's golf weekend, lots of wine in the evenings, but none during the day, (that is a change for me). Sunday was wine free and controlled eating Yea me. I had a great workout this morning, Monday, and logging food so far today. All positive things until I saw a picture of me posted on Facebook from this…

Hey, I am back on MFP I can stay strong for about two weeks then I lose motivation. What have you done to stay motivated for 2 months?
-
It is a struggle for me everyday. I can be the most faithful to MFP Mon-Fri then Sat and Sun everything blows up. How can we support each other?
-
I am also finishing my first day on MFP, again. At least I am back, some good motivational advice here. I am glad I read this. I can usually track my food for about two weeks, at the time I start missing days, then miss exercise, then it all falls apart. I need to stay strong

paleOMG.com is a great place to get free paleo recipes. There are a lot of other good sites for free recipes and advice out there.

I am new to MFP and fitbit. I don't know how to use all the bells and whistles yet. I also need lots of motivation.

Hey, I too am starting over again today. This summer of travel, weddings, holidays, etc is just killing me. I just got home from a 2 week vacation and nothing fits. I know I need to get back to tracking my food and exercise. One of my problems is that I can go along for about 3 weeks eating healthy and exercising regularly…
