At least she has the guts to put her workout video on line and cares to know what people want to see. Not everybody here is 30 something mail. There are a lot of people here who are just starting their weight loss journey. And for those people 25lb is strength training. This website is for support and encouragement for…

I also love food. When I joined MFP I realized how much calories my favorite foods were so I started to look for healthier choices that fill me up. I was not a big chicken fan but I found the way to make it taste different every time with sauces and spices. I am lucky that I love veggies and eat a lot of those raw and…

I have the same problem with my HRM, it gives me these really high numbers, even though I entered all my data correctly. I checked it against my treadmill HRM and my watch/strap HRM was more then 100 cal over. It is too late for me to return it so I just subtract on average 100 cal from each 400 reading I get, and that is…

Don't get hung up on the calories. Try doing your best and if you have some days off - it is OK. Some people start going over their calorie limit for a few days and quit thinking that it will not work for them. This is a life style change and as in life we have our ups and downs, and as long as you can get back on track…

Somewhere within this post on page 3 I think. You can just right click on it and copy. Worked for me - I already sent it to some of my Wine loving friends.

Does it spring when you walk? Maybe I should use it for running. And then have a glass of wine, or two or shoe....

Had to cut down to Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Still miss it so have it occasionally on weeknights.

I have Timex HRM and I entered all my data in. I am getting similar results and I just don't feel this is correct. I have a treadmill which has pre installed HRM and the chest strap. When I run 3 miles on the treadmill it shows me that I burn on average 360 -380 calories. A few days ago I used my Timex while running on the…

There are a lot of advises here but the truth is - plain old crunches, side crunches, bicycle crunches, planks - 200/300 repetitions a day. There is no other way. You will see definition even before you BF goes down. Trust me I have done it and that is the only thing that will work. The Ab frame? Give me a break ;-).

I was in the similar situation after my son was born. My husband encouraged me to go to the gym so I can lose the baby weight, but after baby-sitting for a few evenings, he said: ' Sorry baby, but I can't handle that any more'. That was the end of my gym for many years. Some men just can't handle the one on one with the…

My favorite is Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. It is a bit more challenging than 30 DS.

They have this thing in my gym - the back support padded board and the two padded bars on the sides. You bend your arms at 90 degree angle and rest your back against the back board and do leg rises with either bent knees or straight leg rises. It will make your lower abdominal muscles very strong. Another good one is doing…

You can try The Biggest Loser DVDs. They are pretty easy to start with. And the best par that the real people from the show are in the DVDs.

Food Network, Cookinglight.com Reciepies.com. Also cooking in the oven saves a lot of time. Throw chicken and different veggies in the Dutch oven. Add salt and pepper. 375 F and in an hour you have enough food for a few days . Cook some rice. And then put rice and chicken stew in containers and you have meals for a few…

I like to run to Colbie Caillat - Brighter than the Sun - the beat keeps me going. Also Maroon 5 songs.

My face, then stomach. The hips will be the last to go and that is where I need to lose the most.

I got Mine on Amazon, but then went to Wal -Mart and saw it there and some other Jillian's DVDs. When I do 30 DS - I do all three levels in one exercise. I did not measure myself but I really like it and my arms got much stronger. I mix it with other DVDs so I cannot say I did it for 30 day straight. I like Jillian's 'Burn…

This I am saving in my LOL folder - hilarious

I've been doing it for a while now. I am alternating it with other DVDs. It is a lot of fun but once you've learned the moves it is not too challenging, so I mix it with a bit more difficult DVDs. But I still love it - grate fast pace cardio work out.
-
I think you need to change your exercise routine. Add more intense cardio. Your muscles are used to elliptical by now and don't burn as many calories any more. You need to challenge them with something else. Try Turbo Jam or, my favorite, Janet Jenkins Bikini Boot Camp - killer. Also there are a lot of kickboxing tapes -…

I love wine, but since I joined MFP I am trying to only have it on the weekends, and I do log all of it, makes me realize how many empty calories I drink :-0. But who cares - I still like it. If I have to quit the things I like - I will fail, so just trying to be reasonable.

Have a slice of pizza for lunch - It's not really that many calories. I was at plateau for 3 weeks before the scale moved again - it's OK. It takes time. I have occasional piece of chocolate or cake and I still lose some weight - maybe not as fast as I would like to but if I have to learn to live this way - there is no way…

I sometimes hit plateau as well. When it happens I start taking weekends off. I do not completely go bonkers with food, but I do allow myself to go over and only do light exercise or none at all. Also my daily calory intake varies a lot. Switching exercise is a good idea as well. I mix them all the time because when you do…

This is how I do it. I ususally roast chicken breast in the oven and I put more then 3 tablespoons of olive oil so it doesn't burn. When the chicken is done I put it on the paper towel to drain, after that I usualy log it as 1 tsp or 0.33 of serving of olive oil. I don't use any specific tools. I just eyeball it and do my…

Hi Ssara. Did you try 'The biggest looser" DVDs. I have two of those and they are greate for the begginers because they are made for different levels. The level one is a slower pace and easy to follow and they are about $8 a DVD on Amazon. There are also real people in them and they also struggle. I have since moved to…

Beans and greens for iron, quinoa and buckweet have both protein and iron. Make quinoa salad and add eggs to it - perfect meal.

Veggies, all kinds, raw, cooked, fruits - fills you up and low in calories. You will not need metamucil and will not feel hungry.

I roast chicken breast on weekend and use it during the week in my salads, wraps and sandwitches. I use different spices to make it taste different every week. I am not big chicken fan but lately I found myself eating a lot of it and I do not mind it at all. I also love hot dogs. One time my husband bought Oscar Meyer 98%…

I was in my 30th 130lb and size 6. It was awesome, lasted for about 5-6 years and then I turned 40 and the weight just started to go up and up no matter what I did. Going slowly down now, so if I get to 130 - will wear bikini.

I will go on vacation to the Caribbean and I will rock that bathing suite.
