  • I chop some veggies like asparagus, broccoli, mushrooms etc... and mix them with 2 eggs and pop it in the microwave for about a minute and a half and eat it for breakfast. No fat and it tastes as good as the fried one. Well... almost as good :)

  • I grill most of the year, and since I only oil the griddles I don't count that. I use a lot of spices to make food taste better.
  • Log, it's 120 cal per tablespoon, it counts.
  • Ben and Jerry's Physh Food Ummmm, Cherry Garcia Yummmm.....
  • I lost close to 30 lbs and almost reached my goal weight. Then I maintained for 10 month so I though that now I can eat anything and I will not gain weight. I stopped weighing myself and even though I did log my calories every day, i didn't really try to stay under my daily goal. Sooo.. Yes..this past winter I gained 10…
  • Not sure if anybody posted it yet but my whole family loves shrimp and avocado salad. Everybody I ever served it to also liked this salad. Here is goes: One slightly firm (not too mushy) avocado cut into 1/2 inch cubes. 1/2 lb shrimp cooked, peeled and roughly chopped, 1/2 cup chopped cilantro, juice of two limes, 1tbs…
  • I have first one in bed, second on the train to work, I buy third one on the way to work, fourth right before the lunch fifth after lunch... and so it goes..... Oh, yeah, I also drink water and wine. No other liquids are permitted to enter my body :o)
  • OMG don't even worry about it. I've lost 25 lbs by eating what I love including pizza, chocolate and cakes. Just don't do it every day. If occasionally you eat food that you crave, you won't get fat, but it will keep you going. We don't diet here, we learn how to eat properly and that includes occasional burgers and pizzas…
  • Try to add pure cardio workouts - I worked with a trainer for 6 month and did not drop a pound. Then I bought some videos with fast pace cardio workouts - that's when the pounds started to drop. I like Turbo Fire a lot and Janett Jenkins videos. I since dropped the trainer and 25 pounds - lol.
  • Try to change the workout routine. Maybe add one session of weight traning. Some times I stress eat for a couple of days and then back to normal diet. You need to cheet your body to think it needs to burn more.

  • I am 47 and if you've asked me last February - I would say 'Yeah, just give it up. I work out and watch what I eat and still gain weight every year. Just give it up.' Well, today, 22 pounds lighter and at comfortable size 8-6, I can say - you can lose weight at any age. It is all up to you. I had a lot of plateaus and I…
  • I eat out a lot. In different places including fast food. It might sound lame but I am going to say what everybody says - it's all about choices and the amount of food you eat. If I go to McDonald's I will order chicken snack wrap with grilled chicken (250 cal per wrap) you can have two of those or one and pick on your…
  • Try The Biggest Loser videos. They have three levels of twenty minute exercise. The first level is relatively easy and seeing the real people doing the workout might help to stay motivated. Also if you like to dance try Zumba videos. If it gets to much, pause and take a quick break and when you catch your breath just keep…
  • When I started running, I just quit smocking, so I could hardly run for one minute. So I ran one minute, walked five minutes. Slowly I build up to running five and walking one minute. Then running ten, waking one. You got the picture. Listen to your body. I did not follow any particular program, just tried my best and kept…
  • I try to make it as simple as possible. I have a desk job, so I set my lifestyle as sedentary and add all exercise calories. Sometimes if I run out of calories and am still hungry I workout to be able to eat more. It works for me because it makes me exercise more than I would normally do. You can set your lifestyle as…
  • I smocked a pack a day for 13 year but when i decided to quit, I set up a date and decided that I quit on that day. The night before I had my last cigarette from my last pack and never looked back. No patches, not gum. They say it is all in your head and it really is. I am going through some right times right now and this…
  • I log my exercise and eat back the calories. I use HRM and machine readings instead of what MFP has because all that exercise data was entered by users and it is not always correct for my weight/age. I also think that my HRM is overestimating so I usually log less then it shows, to not overheat.
  • I love to mix red and white quinoa. I cook it in water then add olive oil, garbanzo beans, halved cherry tomatoes, cilantro or parley, lime juice and salt. It is good cold and warm. I eat it with grilled chicken breast or just by itself. LOVE IT!
  • I use exercise videos. My favorite are Turbo Fire, Jillian Michaels Banish Fat and Janet Jenkins Cardio Bootcamp and Kickboxing Bootcamp. You can send me a friend request.
  • Frank Sinatra
  • From the very beginning when I started MFP, I decided that this is not a life change but an adjustment to MY lifestyle. My life includes chocolate, cakes, ice cream, wine, beer, and going out to dinner. So I still eat all those foods and go out almost every weekend. But I plan for it. I either workout before or go to the…
  • OK. Going for a walk right now. Thanks!
  • Huge difference. Hard to believe you lost only 17.4 lb.
  • Start by logging all your food without trying to diet. Log it for a week and then review your log. See what you can give up or cut down on. Maybe a bit less fatty or fried foods next week. Maybe one ice cream/muffin/bagel less next week. Just one serving less. It will not make a big change because you will be able to have…
  • I mix it with other workouts. 30DS is a set of three 25 min workouts so if you are short on time it is good. I personally prefer Jillian's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. It is a 45 min exorcise that is more challenging and faster pace then 30DS.
  • The MPF exercise/calorie burned were entered by the members so I would not rely on those. I have Timex with a chest strap and I entered all my data but I still think it overestimates my calorie burned. When I run on the treadmill which HRM mounted in and a chest strap, my Timex HRM shows higher burn then treadmill by about…
  • I live in the small neighborhood that is one 1/2 mile loop. I sometimes run loops if I have to stay close to my house. I normally run 3 miles so doing 6 loops gets really boring. But I listen to the music on my iPod and the time goes by fast. By all means run loops, it is still less boring then on the treadmill.
  • First of all I see that you are trying to make better food choices. I think some people saw Buffalo Wings and stopped there. I see that in most cases it is either sauce to chicken tenders. I use buffalo sauce a lot too, even in my salad. I think you might be under estimating the amount or the size of the foods that you…
