I often ask the airline attendant for "clamatoe juice". It makes any trip enjoyable to start it off by confusing the helpers. What is the closest to being arrested you've been, and for what?

Yes, that is what the Peer-to-Peer technique is all about. Kids do listen to other kids. BUT, it is up to adults to institute a lesson plan to be followed, with talking points. The adult has the final responsibility to not let the kids run wild with their "advice". As you pointed out, that was the failure in this case -…

If this had happened to a daughter in my family, there would be the need for two lawyers. One to hire to sue the school, and a second to hire to get my husband out of jail for ripping the head off of the instructor.

Suddenly, from the sky came a loud clap of thunder, and a lightening bolt flew to the ground, and zap, appeared Inigo Montoya (yes, the same Inigo Montoya), who yelled aloud...

My girlfriend had the surgery. She was very happy with the results, but she did have a complication. She was allergic to the sutures that were internal, and needed another surgery to correct the infection and scaring. I have no idea if that complication is frequent or not, but you asked so I'm mentioning it. Good luck!!!

I love Costco. Without it, our food budget would be bust. They have the most affordable prices on frozen foods such as chicken tenders, wild salmon, organic mixed vegetables, Amy's healthier pizza, and mixed berries. They have OJ, fruits and vegetables, ground turkey, whole wheat spagetti, healthier spagetti sauce, canned…

Lots of things could be worse: listening to a political speech, colonoscopy, root canal, standing in the Christmas-mailing-line at the post office, NOT HAVING A COMPUTER!!

[I'll post the joke here, as well as on a new thread.] Did you know: STRESSED is just DESSERTS spelled backward.

Whew, I feel better. I will go with the idea that maybe I was just misunderstanding what had been posted. I'm gona' go find a joke now and post it, just for some reading pleasure.

I'll attempt to not "be mean" here, and not call anyone out, [whew, this is a land-mine filled topic] but now I'm confused about the adversion to research .... or perhaps I've interperted this thread incorrectly. Because now I'm thinking, Oh oh, we shouldn't google for information nor look for studies to help us along?…

One pound of fat weighs the same as one pound of muscle, which weighs the same as one pound of feathers, which weighs the same as one pound of brinks. They all weigh one pound. Like the childhood riddle, "Which weighs more: a pound of feathers or a pound of brinks". They both way a pound, of course. However, "Muscle is…

added it to their food list, but quickly recognized that they'd best not "share the info with others" or the big butterfly net would be sent for them.

Holy cow, I just bought 3 lb. weights yesterday and thought I was doing myself proud! :blushing:

Karma, I think you and I were thinking alike and typing at the same time.

It sort of reminds me of how some people, who don't like the topic of a thread or don't think it is worthy of discussion, toss in "what a waste of time to post about this topic". I figure that if you are not interested, then skip the thread, but don't berate those who are expressing their questions or views. What would ..…

This is something I've not heard before, could you please explain it a bit more? Because, from what I've read, a pound of weight is 3500 calories, regardless of the source of the calories. A surplus of 3500 calories means a pound gained, a deficit of 3500 means a pound will be lost. How does the body "get used to the same…

make everyone go to MFP and look up nutrition!

I googled. When she died she weighed 117 pounds and was 5ft 5 1/2 inches. Yes, that sure would not be a 12 by today's fashion sizes.

I am to please. Well, often. OK, usually. Alright, sometimes. :blushing:

Yes, that is soooooo true. Just try posting something that calls for evidence that is based on "science" [is needing 8 glasses of water a day really necessary? are urine-based injections a quick fix to losing weight? etc], and if you cross people's preconceived notions, watch out! Rather than learn and have open…

Oh man Oh man. I'm doing a real LOL here. Just wait, ladies, until you go through menopause, and then see what the changes in hormones with that process does to your skin!! :noway:
