I prefer outside and the indoor track....I have only used a treadmill three times since I started running in April 2011. I HATE, HATE, HATE the treadmill!!!! The indoor track can be a bore but it works in 100 degree weather. I think that anything is better than heat stroke!!!!

Congrats! I run my first one on November 11th and started my training last week. I am on week 2 and I am using the running schedule from a local running store in my area. Like most plans, I run five days a week with my long runs on Sundays. I will friend you so that we can track the progress of one another!!!

To be honest, I do not have a food weakness and if I do I do not know if because I just choose to not bring that stuff into the house. I would say slow your pace. I have been running now for just a year...June 2011 C25K grad. I am now up to 5 miles but I do not run it VERY fast. I am an 11'30" mile but can run forever at this pace. You sound like me in March of 2011. I started the C25k program and saw no loses. I had two problems. On some days, I would eat too much and then others days, I would not get enough.
