  • are there any groups you could join of like minded people for camping? We camp in Uk with a group that consists of single adults, couples, friends and the odd family. By day we all do our own thing but at night various people have camp fires and you just choose where to join in or stay at your own tent. Round the fire is…
  • I pay membership for a council run gym which has classes, gym and swimming. I like to swim before work and take 20p with me so that I can dry my hair and then head straight to work. I am not a make up person so no issues there as long as my hair is under control lol. I go even when I only have 15-20 mins sometimes and just…
  • yes mine do it all the time if walking in heat. Not a problem in the cold and I ust assume it is blood rushing to my hands as they are down low.
  • Inflammation is inflammation, just sometimes you can't see it for example bowl/intestines etc often caused by allergies/intolerances or more severe conditions like crohns disease. The results are the same, e.g. swollen tissue but the consequences are different, including mal absorption of nutrients, chronic pain and more.
  • it helps my acid reflux when I am really suffering but can't say it made any difference to weight loss and you do have to be careful about your teeth if using it all the time
  • when doing stuff like that I don't necessarily count it on here but might not bother with going to the gym etc if too tired. E.g I spent a day doing heavy gardening (moving logs, stone etc) and was too tired for gym but let myself off due to the gardening
  • the sound of the sea on a gentle shore while watching the sun go down
  • I am in the uk but similar issues here in terms of cost but I live in a town with access to several supermarkets so getting to shops is not an issue. With regards to veg, I would advise buying larger portions for economies of scale and making up veg soups and curries straight away and freezing for quick use when you need…
  • wine affects me unfortunately, even when included in my calorie count. For that reason I am mainly sticking to not drinking during the week and saving the wine for the weekend when I am naturally more active due to not being in work as well as time for longer workouts etc..
  • I am British and lived here all my life and never heard coke called full fat coke!!!! I even worked in a macdonalds in my teen years (p/t while at college) and in a town pub for many years so I have sold plenty of glasses/cups of coke over the years
  • are you drinking enough fluid? Also are you very low carb? For me, though I am fairly low carb, if I go very low carb for a few days in a row I do tend to be without energy and it does not come back with more fat/protein, even though that works for others.
  • I started at 11 lb stone 2 and have been stuck around 10 lb7 for a long long time, (at 10lb 5 now) but those last few pounds are a nightmare no matter what your starting point was
  • yoga pants or nice sweat pants (the sporty ones) are fine but since both cities have a huge amount of world wide visitors you will see all and everything in dress sense. Just wear what you want and dont worry about it
  • Same happened to me too though I got stuck at around 147/149!. Now moving again after a long long time. I eat more than 1200 now (I think) though and I am following harcombe diet which is helping me.
  • sorry should say hip bursitis as it can hit various areas
  • sounds like bursitis to me and if it is you need to deal with that now. fortunately there are some simple exercises you can do to help with this. Google it and then try some as it can get much worse or can be easily solved. Various glute and side abductor exercises worked for me when I had that problem
  • gosh, people are hard! I don't have any answers but we did have something similar with our youngest son but not food related. Discovered by accident that he had a gambling problem, (on-line betting via his phone) When we sat down with him and his ban statement and forced the issue he broke down in tears and was really glad…
  • breast fed both my kids (now 22 and 25) I did lose the extra weight very quickly after the first but I was really young and no idea if it was the feeding that did it. Took ten months after second baby though! If weight is your only issue with BF I would recommend sticking with it a bit longer for the health benefits and…
  • Can you add me in too please as, after ages not doing too well, I am really trying to get on it. I am aiming for shape defining as well as weight loss.
  • stick with the programme, don't go too fast as you having shin issues. For me the shin pain only lasted a week or two and was part of my body preparing for what was to come. If it lasts longer than the first couple of weeks seek further advice but for now just keep it slow so that you body can adapt to the new demands
  • liver and black pudding uggggggg
  • no idea about the dollar to the pound but I live in the uk and spend roughly £ 200 every two to three weeks for three adults (One grown up son) That includes dog food and also laundry and toiletries e.g washing powder. Don't try to cut the budget but do look for bargain offers like fresh meat packs on 3 for £10 etc. That…

  • eat chocolate! like most people I would say a little of what you fancy every day is better as it will stop you binging. If you can I would buy one large bar of good quality chocolate, (usually dark) and keep it in the fridge. Reward yourself at night with a chunk or two that you have made room for in your calorie count. I…
  • big protein breakfasts seem to help me eat less overall during the day. Nothing to hard to do either,e.g. a couple of boiled eggs and a piece of salmon with a yogurt smoothy. Also given that you have two year twins there is a good chance that you have quite a high expenditure of calories without having to log specific…
  • sounds fun. Not seen it where I live but I have done zumba in semi darkness with flashing disco lights and sha'bam is a dance aerobic class that I really enjoy and get a 'runner's high from as it is good enough to get an endorphin kick from.
