I am from Lancashire and would agree with previous poster, 18k too much so set less but find time to strength train so that your body looks great any way

I use a free phone app now but before I had that I chose a route that followed a road so that I could measure the distance and do a rough calculation for the length of the route ( firstly using my car and distance clock and then by using a free on-line distance measurer (walk/jog/run) and then I just timed what felt like…

like others have mentioned, you may be better off shaping your body rather than trying to lose more weight. Weights/yoga, strength exercises, lots you can do for free using yuotube clips and things you have about your home. Clothes will look great on you with a bit of firmness to your muscles. Blogilates is a free website…

maybe try an experiment with different foods for a few weeks, maybe have a few weeks with only clean eating, or no dairy or no wheat, or low fat, or low carb just something different while still maintaining similar calories levels. See if it works and take from there. always worth trying something new as you are a decent…

42 I think. (or 41) I used c25k too and would recommend that also take it slower for the first month or two and then build up to what is right for you. those people that often experience bad knees and other injuries usually either have bad form or have done too much too quick. Once you first get a hang of it it is tempting…

I would advise trying the couch to 5 k and walking on the days that you don't run as that is not too taxing for the body but maybe walking for a little less time. C25k is highly addictive and lots of fun

I am in for the first time.

everyone is different. for many that would be o, my hubby entered a 10k race for me (I was going to do it but got injured) and had only 3-4 practice runs and got a very good time on the day 53 mins (well good for a man in 40s that does not run regularly) but he does play squash several times a week, does dog walks every…

How much weight have you lost in those 7 weeks? the change between the two photos is really obvious. The first photo looks similar to where I am at now, but I have been there far longer than 7 weeks!!! Well done, you can really see the work you have put into this.

Germany is a modern western country and just like every other modern western country, including America, there are multi nation types of restaurants to be found! Italian, American, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, French etc and even German! I am pretty sure you will find plenty of good food to eat unless you are in a tiny…

you can buy special bates that dont kill them straight away but let them go back to their nest and infect the rest and then it kills all of them not just the ones you catch out

yes weetabix is a staple breakfast here in the uk too. Usually with milk, sometimes with sugar on top or sliced bananas. Eaten hot or cold depending on choice and some like it soggy and all mushed up while others eat it still quite dry

Of course it is possible with well trained dogs. Every night when I am out dog walking I pass a man who walks between 3 and 5 dogs on his own, a mix of collies and german Shepard but.......these are really well behaved. Meanwhile I am passing him usually with just one of my dogs as they are not so well trained and both are…

you can change the size of the font, even on the old basic kindle, which is nicer to the eyes anyway and ok in the sun.

before I owned a kindle I always thought that I would prefer a physical book, now I own two (old style and a fire) I could not be without lol. Several things led to me trying one. The house was getting over run with books! I had a job that meant lots of train travel so I was buying more and more books but the weight of a…

PS though your plans to work together with others for support etc is a good one, just don't blame the govt for what you choose to eat!

Yes many buy one get one free offers are often on cheap, poor nutrition products however supermarkets run these offers as loss leaders, products to get you in. If you compare foods at normal prices, the vast majority of foods, then you will find it is just as easy to each fresh as eat junk and that is just shopping in a…

pot of yogurt with berries added (or whatever I have in) and a tea spoon of oats, very easy to eat and gives me the energy to do the pre work run.

Swimming is good but if you don't swim too good then walking in water is great, takes the weight off your poor knee joint but the resistance will make you work that bit harder too. See if your local gym or health org has any exercise groups for seriously overweight as they are likely to be more suitable for when you are…

well done

I am also booking a couple of training sessions so that I can get started with weights properly, (form etc,,,) and then continue on my own either at the gym or with the basic equipment we have in the house.

Good luck. Me and hubby both like red wine and drink it regularly but, as is often, we have had a little too much of the good stuff over Christmas and have decided to go all out and have no alcohol to reset out bodies tolerance to it. It will be interesting to see if it does help with my weight loss though that is not my…

January is to be a dry month for me and my hubby (as in no alcohol) so I will see if that makes a difference to my months long plateau and adapt accordingly after Jan. We will allow ourselves a drink on the 20th Jan to toast our youngest when he turns 21 but that is it!!! Hubby does not need to lose any weight at all but…
