I've used it. My doc set high goals of 10-12lbs a month weight loss. I rarely met that goal. But my house was fricken spotless and I was able to run 6 miles a day 5 days a week. I'm pretty loyal to my half & half. Coffee is serious business for me. However, I've read that if you put a can of coconut milk in the fridge the cream will rise to the top and that cream makes a wonderful coffee companion and lower in calories and fat

For my family it takes planning. I'll grill a few pounds of chicken/pork to make wraps and salads. Or I'll roast a whole chicken and make soup and chicken salad. I depend on dinner leftovers a lot too. But I feed a lot of hungry people

I don't even own a scale. Threw that evil thing out! For some of us, it's motivational to see the numbers creep down for others the numbers are never enough and you're a slave to the number. There's other ways to measure your progress besides a scale. I tend to look for personal records, how my body feels, how my clothes…

I dont like when people comment on my weight loss. It makes me uncomfortable. I think it's a touchy subject and maybe others feel the same way. but hearing - "hey you look great!" that's always fantastic.

I try to log everything. I keep my diary closed because I dont really need to read a lecture about eating a cupcake and drinking two beers for my dinner. I know I messed up - but I'm gonna log it anyway.

it's frustrating for me. It's taken 5 months for me to lose 35 lbs. some weeks I dont lose anything. and then other weeks I lose 3 or 4lbs. we just gotta keep swimming :) while our progress might be slow, IT'S STILL PROGRESS!

get a pedometer - walk 10,000 steps a day yoga & do some weight lifting new rules of lifting for women

Congratulations! Is a mini- trip possible? We usually go away but there's occasions it just isn't possible. So we send the kids away, I decorate the house & prep foods for the weekend and we spend that time together without outside distractions.

completed 3 sets of 10 squats with 105lbs ran 100 miles in a month - never woulda done that one if it weren't for this community

I'm about 50-50. I tend to keep my cardio in check but my eating & drinking set me up for gains. I avoid the scale til tuesday or wednesday. by then I'm where I was on friday.

Thankful for the season the Nationals gave us fans this year. Sad it's over but proud to be a long suffering fan. such a pain to need to upload pics to a host site and then post here. fancy pants MFP engineers - y'all need to get on that.

A lot depends on your skin complexion. I've had three kids and put on 50lbs with each pregnancy. I have an olive complexion and it seems like there's not much elasticity with my skin.
