I had some plateaus. Many if them actually and some for quite a long time. Your body does not change overnight. Just as you did not gain the weight overnight. As I stated before, it's a lifestyle change and as long as you stay commuted then you body will catch up and adjust to the new healthy way if life!

That would be cool! Unfortunately due to a computer upgrade I lost all my side-by-side pics I had done previously.

Yah, it even makes most women jealous. :D

Thank you so much! You are very fortunate to have someone to join you on your journey. Not only are you positively influencing each other but your moods will rotate. Typically when you are having a bad day you friend will be feeling rather motivated. Just beware when you are both feeling crappy.... No ice cream and crying…

Yup... That's me! Thanks for the comment. You made me laugh. I honestly never thought I could lose the weight. I still have issues now considering myself as a thin person. I honestly still look in the mirror and look for the fat instead of looking at the progress. I guess I was there along for the progress though. It can…

Slow is good! That's how you should lose weight!

Thanks! I cannot wait to read your story!!

Thanks! That's how I feel. I am a whole new person with a whole new lifestyle! It feels great!

It's funny you should mention that. One of the assistance in my office weighs 128. I lost a whole assistant!

I thank you for commenting and recognizing my true success story. It's not me, it's all about my son. As for the mountain biking. My brother lost some weight on MFP and he was just a little overweight. He lives in GA and has great MTB weather almost year around. He got my husband into riding and then I ran with it. We…

I am glad to be of some assistance in the inspiration world. You should be so proud of yourself for keeping the weight off for that long!! Do you find that it gets easier the longer you have kept it off or are you constantly still thinking in weight loss mode?

Something that is actually made to moisturize your skin... not just smell good. I used Eucerin, Jergens, you name it (even store brand). Basically anything but bath and body works type stuff.

I was very lucky that my arms have turned out as well as they have. It did take some time. I had a little bit of a bat wing going on. My upper thighs and my stomach are a different story. I am hoping with time that they will continually get better but even if they do not, I have lost 130 pounds. I will never rid myself of…

I eat a ton of food (volume) but its good food. I load up on veggies (I eat broccoli almost every night - 2-3 cups). Veggies are amazingly low in calories and very filling. Like tonight I had a salad and a side of green beans. My whole dinner was under 400 calories but I am stuffed (oh i had a yogurt as a treat after…

To all: I thank you for reading my story and finding some motivation in it. Again I am getting a ton of questions off the board and hope that a few posts will satisfy those lingering questions and bits of information I failed to mention in my original post. First of all, I now feel amazing. Before the weight loss I was…

Thank you! Just stick with it. Any things possible. Oh, and we call my husband Fabio... Lol. At least he finds it humerus!

If my husband was completely on board it would be so much easier. He has basically lost weight because I no longer have the bad food in the house. He still wants to go out to eat all the time. He wants to eat unhealthy food. He really does not have a desire to lose weight. However, his constant push in the opposite…

As I mentioned I did have to replace the belt after 5 years of pure torture to my elliptical but otherwise love it. I have a norditrack audioglider. I have the one with a manual incline which I think is just less to go wrong. Just decide your incline before getting on and adjust. It has great resistance programs. I use the…

I really wish someone would have told me that when I started this whole thing. We see all these skinny people eating all the food they want... all the food we want. You would think that you could go back to that when you get to your goal. In reality, we all know that you cannot do that... we just think we can. Good luck on…

I don't know about favorites but let me just tell you that if I am going to put something into my body, take the time to weigh it and count all the calories that I am going to enjoy it. I have meals that I would consider staples. Every morning I start with an egg white omelette. I usually has turkey sausage crumbles,…

Thank you everyone!! Believe it or not your positive feedback provides me with some additional motivation! Yes, my husband has lost some weight as well. He eats away from home a lot so his journey has taken a little longer. I don't think he is ready to lose it. His day will come! I have shared your positive feedback with…

I too started out without weighing my food. I found when I did start weighing my food that I was way over estimating. I also weigh food that can be measured in a cup. Take marshmallows for example. If you need a cup of marshmallows you will see very quickly that there is a lot of empty space. And how do you effectively…

I lost around 40 on weight watchers. I do have to give them some credit for teaching you the basics. Drink water, eat lean protein, eat 2-3 dairy products a day and eat 5+ servings if fruits and veggies a day. I actually still go to meetings now (again) to support my mom on her journey. She needs the weekly accountability.…

Ok, for the skin. I got lucky with my arms. I stayed hydrated, applied lotion daily (good stuff not bath and body works) and I made sure to exercise. Not arm workouts specifically. They were very jiggly at first. Over time they got better. As for the upper thigh and stomach area, I was not so fortunate. This was very hard…

I did not do any target training. I have found that your body will lose where it wants to. You cannot target specific areas. I ate between 1200 and 1300 calories a day. I don't eat any calories earned by the workouts. I focus very heavily on eating the "right" foods and not their calorie content. Avocados for example are…

Thanks!! Now I do not know if it really was the diet coke but I did drink a LOT of diet soda. I mean, up to a case a day. Once I cut back/eliminated the diet soda I did start losing weigh faster. There are a lot of chemicals in diet soda that just aren't good for you. I did not eliminate it all at one. I started by…

I would like to thank each and every one of you for your kind words and compliments! They will be true encouragement to continue with these last few pounds of of re-loss and maintenance. I have had a few comments messaged to me and I would like to expand a bit more for all of you. I track everything. If you cheat on…

Thank you! It Varies and variety has what has kept me going. In the summer my family is constantly outside. Hiking, biking and just enjoying the great outdoors. In the winter I am basically stuck with P90X or on my elliptical. I typically do 3-5 days a week. P90X is whatever the established workout time is. I do not follow…

Thanks!! Although I am still hesitant to wear dresses, I now own 4 of them. The only time I have ever worn a dress in my adult life prior to my weight loss was when I got married.

Yes. I see that my first reply did not include your quote. He has lost a bit but has not hit his goal. We have made healthier decisions as a family resulting in his weight loss!
