Also, how much protein are you getting? What kind of multi are you taking? Does it include iron? B 12? Calcium?

Husband passed away last May -- is it possible you're suffering from depression? It's not always the dark cloud, curled up in a ball, afraid to be around people thing. Milder forms can exhibit as a lack of energy and motivation and just generally feeling "not quite right."

A house with a fenced backyard big enough for me to plant a veggie garden. I'd also give my parents enough money to pay for all my mom's medications and oxygen supplies. That **** ain't cheap, yo.

This too.

Question about your oversupply: are you pumping? If so, and you're not needing to pump to store milk for emergencies or going back to work, I would stop pumping. Hand express just enough to relieve the pressure if you're feeling uncomfortable, and otherwise don't pump. Let the baby dictate your supply. The more milk you…

Here is some excellent information for you: http://kellymom.com/nutrition/mothers-diet/mom-weightloss/

You need to eat more. Breastfeeding exclusively burns around 500 calories per day. Not to mention the fact that your body is still healing from childbirth. It needs fuel to heal properly. You are not doing anything wrong. It's only been 3 weeks. Give yourself time and patience. Every pregnancy is different, so it stands to…

One of my recent faves. This girl is a huge Iron Man fan and wanted one of her senior pics "inside" the helmet: And I modeled in and took this photo, as well as doing all the post work and design for this book cover (walking barefoot in the snow ain't for sissies, y'all):

Lift heavy things up in the air and set them back on the ground. Repeat. Eat more protein to fuel your muscles.

Um. My strength would be distracting the zombies with my tasty flesh so the rest of you could get away. I'm just being honest.

Is he an actual monk? Because if so, he's pretty much off-limits forever. But if you're using that word for emphasis, why is he celibate? There are all kinds of reasons for celibacy that don't necessarily preclude having a relationship. Unless you basically only want him for sex and are not interested in a relationship, in…

Who would admit to it, even if they did? I mean, really. I don't. But people react to me differently. I'm concise in my speech and very sarcastic IRL, but on the internet I can't always convey my tone, and people get mad thinking I'm being a jerk. So I have to overuse smileys.

This is my biggest project to date (although in fairness, I've only completed 4 things so far). I made it for my husband. He's a big Mario fan. :) It has a border now, I just haven't taken a picture of it with the border on. And since it's 6 feet by 6 feet, it's kind of a pain to get it spread out and get high enough to…

I agree with the notion of looking at calories as currency -- I've done that, and it helps so much. Secondly, I try to think about WHY I want to eat that stuff. Usually for me, if I'm wanting chocolate, it's because I'm tired and/or stressed. With other stuff, sometimes I just want to snack because I'm bored. In both…

Whoa, that's a lot of coffee. Probably too much, unless you're drinking decaf. I'd maybe work on cutting back slowly. Just cut back one mug at a time, or switch to smaller cups instead of mugs for a while, until you get back to a more reasonable amount. Too much caffeine isn't good for you.

I haven't made them before. I haven't made a lot of finished projects yet. I'm still kind of in the learning stage. :)

Just don't. Drink a big glass of water. Get moving a little bit -- take a walk, do a workout, whatever. Chew some sugar-free gum. If you're not hungry, don't eat. Do something else to keep you occupied. :)

Pharrell Williams -- Happy (the beat is a good pace and it's a very peppy song) I'm drawing a complete mental blank on anything else, but that's my newest addition.

Also, losing weight with no exercise isn't really something to be proud of. You can't be "strong" if you don't use your muscles. Move them. Strengthen your heart and lungs.
-
OP, you're losing weight rapidly because you're eating around 1000 calories a day. That is not healthy or sustainable for the long-term. I don't care if you eat a plant-based diet -- that can be done healthily, so more power to you. But you need to eat more if you want to continue feeling healthy and strong.

I would maybe talk to her doctor about possibly giving her an appetite stimulant. My nephews weren't eating (not because of meds, I don't know what the issue was) and my sister found an appetite stimulant at GNC. I think it was like a powder. It helped them get back to a healthy weight. It's not something I would try…

It's not cheating. How can it be cheating? Your body burns the calories to make the milk. Basically, you can't "cheat" in this process -- if you're overestimating your burn, you won't lose the weight, and if you underestimate it and don't eat enough, your health will suffer. Log it. If you find your weight loss slows, try…

Pretty! I need to make a pair of fingerless gloves to wear for work in the winter... but since it's getting warmer now, I'll probably do other projects first and do those in the fall. :)

Are you under the care of a doctor? If not, you should be.

I haven't read the entire thread, because I'm tired and I need to get ready for work. But here's my two cents: There are varying definitions of "eating clean" and even "paleo." It's going to be impossible to find a consensus on either of those terms. And it's going to be impossible to find a consensus on whether or not…

And if you want to calculate just for the curds, you can look up calorie amounts for whey, measure your whey, and subtract that from the total that you got from your milk.
-
I would assume it's the same amount of calories as whatever ingredients you put into it. So if you used half a gallon of whole milk to make it, the finished kefir would have the same amount of calories.
-
I just HAD to go through this WHOLE thread and now I'm gonna be late for my eye appointment. Worth it.
