I'm somewhat afraid of speaking in public. My main irrational everyday "phobia" that is likely to impact anything significant is myxophobia, though. It's pretty limited to human/animal stuff though, I don't mind okra or similar stuff at all.

5'9" and my ultimate goal weight is 130 or below and a bodyfat of 10-15% to help my excess skin shrink up and probably no smaller than a size 4 because I have wide hips. Then I'd like to muscle up to 140-145 or so. I'm hoping that by doing it this way where I dip into super-skinny territory for a short period I can tighten…

I have two similar black cats, except one is fat and the other is not. They both eat the same amount of food (I've done measuring experiments). The fat one, if left on his own, will graze all day. The lean one is skittish and eats a lot (slowly and warily) at one time then fasts for hours and hours. I've tried putting the…

Introvert! INTP by Meyer's-Briggs, and pretty strongly on all of them.

Sculpt, hobby engineering, drawing, lots of miscellaneous. Sculpting is my strong point, but I'm a dabbler.

My daughter's initials would be, if I hyphenated our surname, D.A.M.-N. That got a chuckle when we figured it out... Ellie "Miss Calculated" N.

:noway: I bet that pork was deeeeelicious.

I had a pet crow once. He named himself. I thought "How can I torture that utterance into a word-like written form that is needlessly complex?" Then I stole it.

I now think I am a man. Minus dangly bits. :indifferent: As to the OP.. I suggest NVC - Non-Violent Communication. It's a method that helps with expressing needs clearly and precisely so that unsaid expectations, judgments and resentments are far less likely to happen.

When I have tried intermittent fasting in the past it has worked when nothing else has worked well (easy to stick to short term, but was difficult long-term when I just gave up on myself.. my fault, that). But then, I have multiple pre-existing conditions that make fat loss much harder for me. It may come down to me simply…

Thank you. I am disappoint. I was hopeful maybe I could recreate this "brown fat activation" on purpose to burn through some calories. Wait, there is hope! I just received word that others in my family also had this reaction at lunch, but the one I'm talking to is not currently feverish or sick. Hmm. This is suspicious.
-
For those interested but not replying: I now have a fever. At this point options are broadened. Could've just been a coincidence as the start of the symptoms of whatever bug I have, or food poisoning. Yay.

Oh noes! Not page 2! Of course it could just be a case of post hoc ergo propter hoc.

Almost all pre-packaged foods or anything that's made with or fried in standard industry vegetable oils unless it's heavily flavored to disguise it (and I try to reject those just on principle). I can taste the oil and it tastes yucky and rancid to me. Stuff fried in suet, lard or tropical oils, though.. yum.

The adjustment to 600 calorie goal was yesterday. I've been eating mostly what I have for the past month since January (my diary has not been consistently kept since then, though), with different macros, different levels of allowed treatage, etc.. trying to find the "magic" diet that would allow me to eat normal…
-
I've gone from 212lb back up to 220lb eating what I have been for the past month (my diary is public). I have had a few binge days, and I eat some treats, but averaged out my calorie intake was normal to slightly low for my height. I've tried various tweaks in the past, high fat, low fat, high protein, low protein, high…

Between about $200-$300/week for 2 adults and 2 children, depending on how much expensive, healthy food or how many nice treats we buy.

Savory green smoothie with tomato+carrot base and lots of kale, spirulina, chlorella and kelp. Slimy dark green salty goop that made me yark it all up 20 minutes later (turns out I react that way to spirulina and chlorella anyway, but there you go).

I'm also somewhat concerned (but not enough to stop losing - I'd rather be floppy and thin than tight skinned and fat), I'll share what I've read. I've read it can take quite a while for loose skin to resolve, and I think no matter what rate you lose it can, but does not always, shrink with you. It seems to depend on the…

I was walking in the bus station in Seattle Metro, a guy across the station yells across "YOU FAT *****!" and laughs. I was pregnant with my daughter and my grandmother-in-law came up to me and said "Are you pregnant or just fat?" Along similar lines, I was 8 months pregnant with my son, and a woman asked me if I was…

A robotics engineer. A famous and well-paid artist. A design consultant/architect. To work with a team on making immortal transhumanism a reality, either the technological route, or the biological route, or.. a hybrid? That there'd require some serious schoolin' though. I suppose they all would. Except the artist, I've…

People don't say it, but I'm sure it's the chin. That thing is huge. I mean, c'mon. It just needs a nice big hairy mole on it and then I can cackle with glee and scare the children.

Picking my nose (eww, crusties). And contemplating how I'm going to ***** out my doctor who put me back on the same antibiotic that wasn't working before and - guess what - it's not working, and I'm getting worse. And then find a new doctor.
