I think I know what you're talking about. I do that sometimes to get ramp up the speed by holding onto the machine and moving my feet (much easier to do on the ellipticals with stationary, non-moving arms). It's a much fuller workout when the whole body is engaged though.

Exactly! Even "zero" calorie things need to be imbibed and otherwise consumed in moderation. If you're drinking 3 diet cokes a day then you're drinking a few more calories and a bit more sodium than you thought.

I recommit myself at the beginning of every month because without fail, towards the end of evey month, my sweet tooth starts making special requests very loudly. Mndset is key, every challenge is an opportunity for success as ia every failure.

If you're someone who is deeply affected by the number on the scale then the more infrequently, the better. It will give you a chance to assess "real" loss. If you're a micro-manager of your life and are aware of how your body composition changes regularly on a daily basis then weigh as often as you'd like.

I was looking for something that I could manage online and Lose It, which I was using, couldn't do that at the time. Also food database much larger since it's user editable.

On the rare occasion that I actually cook, I put everything in the recipe in MFP. Otherwise I'll just put the next best thing.
