I have a math question. According to what I am understanding (from kids math book) the real way to determine % lost is to divide CW by SW. So for me that would be 229.6/231.8. Any thoughts?

Same thing happened to me tonight! My daughter is blunt as well but only because she speaks before thinking. Tonight she said she could really tell I am losing weight when we were dancing. Now I havent lost alot of lbs but I think I need to check my inches!

I love bananas. I am diabetic and have heart problems. Guess what? The one banana I eat a day doesnt hurt me at all!

I do too... but I dont sweat it. As long as I am under or at my calories. I dont worry about anything else other than sodium (but thats cause I have high blood pressure). I think we tend to worry so much about EVERYTHING when the simple formula for weight loss is less calories in than you put out!

My opinion is that a lb a week is good. You are going to get SO many different answers. If you are happy with 1 lb a week then keep doing what you are doing.

Yep, and I am diabetic. So I have to check my sugars regularly and have reduced my insulin tremendously!

My cousin had great success (60 lbs lost) on it and has kept it off. For me it was too restricting, at least in the beginning so I never made it past the first 17 days.

I work 7 pm to 7 am. I call a day midnight to midnight. So I simply plan my meals that way. Works for me whether I am at work or off. Also I dont believe the myth that eating before bed makes you fat so I dont worry about that. If I am hungry I eat, and I track it!

In other words, I came here and started crap and now that I have succeeded in stopping this wonderful thread I am finally happy. Now on to destroy other positive threads! Of course I am not quoting her, just reading between the lines!

I have also heard it lowers blood sugar (black of course) so I drink a cup a day! I am also waiting for all the poo pooers on this site to comment....

I learned more in this thread than all the others combined! Some people are unhappy, others are know it alls - both types will poo poo EVERYTHING! Thanks for making alot of things easier to understand!

The formula is: (Start Weight - Current Weight) x 100 then divided by your starting weight. So: Week 1 should look more like: {(198.2-197.3)x100}/198.2 = .45% total so far And your week 2 should look more like:{(198.2-195.8)x100]/198.2= 1.21% total so far At least that's how I understood it from the OP.
