It's an anti-seizure med. My son has been taking it for a few years to assist with his epileptic seizures. It definitely helps with weight loss if you are willing to tolerate the side effects. His food all tastes like metal. He now stutters where he never did before. When he first started taking it it made his stomach hurt…

You're not being unreasonable at all. I have been married for nearly 39 years and my sweet hubby has always been thin. Obviously he's the blessed one. This being said. I am the one with the problem and as much as I wish I could live in a "controlled environment" it's NEVER gonna happen. I agree with some of the…

Great news for caffeine sensitive people ... They now make a caffeine free Coke Zero

I can't speak from personal experience but my brother had his removed. He gets horrible stomach pain if he eats a "fatty diet." He has even ended up in the hospital because of it. If you aren't having any issues with particular foods I would say that you are one of the lucky ones and won't have to restrict anything. As far…

I attempted Medifast about a year ago and was very unsuccessful. The food was THE most vile stuff I ever tasted. :noway: If you can gag it down I am assuming it would work. I would much rather eat "normal foods" that I can stay on for life, not this stuff that tastes horrid and that I eventually have to come off of. Great…

I've never been a tea fan. I have always loved coffee. This being said I decided to give it another try. http://www.republicoftea.com/ I haven't found a tea I didn't love on this site. Wonderful!! :drinker:

Look for the peanut butters that simply list peanuts. I buy Smuckers Natural peanut butter. If you want to grind your own peanuts though ... go for it.

a Boston Terrier, a Jack Russell and 2 Frenchton girls. They are a mix between a French Bulldog and a Boston Terrier.

This is a wonderful topic and I thank you for bringing it up. I live in a household with my husband and adult son. They both can eat whatever they like and never have to worry about weight. I, on the other hand have been overweight my entire life. It would be SO much easier to diet and eat healthier if the house was "diet…

Protein is great unless you have kidney issues. You're doing fabulously in getting your protein in.

Simple solution. Place your fish oil capsules in the freezer ... once they are frozen you can take them and not experience any "fishy burps" because they don't dissolve in your system until they pass the burp inducing place. My daughter got this advice from her Doctor. Works famously!

Awe ... I'm not one of your "friends" but I can feel your sincerity. An apology well meant is the best place to start. *Blessings* Buddy  :flowerforyou:

Thanks for this Mandi. I agree 500%. One would have to experience what you mean to fully understand. There are numerous reasons for lack of weight loss even when eating at a deficit. It isn't as simple as some would like to make it. Again, Thank you SO much for this post. :flowerforyou:

I want the answer to this as well. I have lost weight on "low carb" diets but realistically, how long can anyone last, never eating carbs and dairy. I absolutely adore fat free Greek yogurt so I refuse to give up dairy anytime soon. :noway:

I love my treadmill! I am on mine for 80 minutes at a time. I think the trick for me is DVD's. I pop in a movie that I love and before you know it you are finished.

Awe ... Please don't give up. I am in my fifties and have been where you are a million times. I have gotten back up from falling off the wagon a million AND one times. Just keep trying. If what you're doing now isn't working then let's try something else. I agree with Jillian. Do you like yogurt? If so have some Greek…

I totally agree. Both cardio AND resistance training is needed to stay healthy. If you just so happen to be one of those people who loves sports and physical activity then lucky you. If not, cardio is needed and required to stay healthy and fit. As they say "Just Do It!"

I mix PB2 with 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1/2 cup Greek yogurt. Nice amount of protein and tastes great as well!

I don't know where you live but I'm in North Carolina and our Wal-marts here now carry it. Hope this might help.

I heard a Dr once say that after losing weight, give yourself about a year for your skin to settle back into shape before deciding to do anything drastic. The weight training and time sounds like a great idea to me.

This is my exact story as well. My own opinion would be that whatever "diet" you try make sure it's a livable lifestyle that you can stay on forever or you will be doomed to repeat it when you go off said "diet." Great luck to you whatever you decide! :flowerforyou:

I personally have to try and talk myself into believing that they taste good. The two least nasty in my opinion are the chocolate cookie dough and the white chocolate raspberry. I think that they taste like a glue kind of consistency. :noway: Also, I just read that they have a lawsuit filed against them because they…

Fabulous! Oh ... and by the way. You were beautiful before and you are beautiful now! :flowerforyou:

Age is simply a number. I say change your perspective. Be happy that you are alive, breathing and healthy. SO many things that are so much worse to worry about. Don't worry ... Be happy! :flowerforyou:

Me too. EVERYTHING is bad for you at some point so choose your poisons. Diet soda has never been a problem for me so why give it up?

Happy New Year and God Bless You For What you do!

WOW!!! Congratulations! Your hard work is showing. What a beautiful "Grandma" you are! :flowerforyou:
