Hi, I'm 52 and same here......have been here before and am starting again :p I am Type 1 diabetic and wear a Dexcom Continuous Glucose monitor so at least it's nice to see my bs's at a glance. So question @ksutter70 Is your diary public or just to friends? Because I used to use mfp on my laptop and could view a lot of people's Diaries but now I've downloaded the app and I'm using it on my phone and it says everyone's is private. It says yours is private too

Go for it if it will make you feel better but just remember it will probably happen again if you're that prone to it. I've been on the pump for 8 years and it's way better but 90% of the time I use my hips and butt for that reason. I know some people that even put their site in their boobs.....owww. I'm 42 as well as Type 1 diabetic and it is a totally different story for me than it was 10 years ago. It seems the big thing on here that people are saying is cut back the carbs......especially late afternoon and evening. I am going to try that and hopefully see a difference.

I don't log regular housecleaning like vacuuming, dusting, toilets etc. but I will log as exercise if it's a an extra super cleaning day like scrubbing the deck, cleaning the windws etc. Gardening of course, cause that feels like the hardest cardio I can do - lol.

philsykes.........ha ha......I'd love to take me dog, but he's so insane and crazy, he'd trip me and I'd end up falling on my face. He only goes to open dog parks - lol. Every day I get closer and closer to that first step........I don't know why it's so hard for me.

jers43...........yeah, I've heard outside is better for your muscles etc. because of the natural changes in the terrain. We're in a rural area so the blocks around here are pretty big since everyone is on at least an acre, so it would definitely be a good start. Thx.

oxoxo.........do you run outdoors on a treadmill. I have had my poor husband buy and then get rid of sooooooo many treadmills I don't think he'll get me another one - lol. So I might have to prove myself by running outside first, but I find that intimidating.

Thanks Vickey and good for you for reaching your goal weight, no matter what it is :-) That's what I've noticed.....they seem to lose it a lot faster. I need to invest in a pair of shoes. I wish my son was better on his bike so he could come with me - it would open my schedule up a lot more, but he's still on training…

Well can't say that a success story yet - lol - but I'm 5'4" and started at 229.4. I'm down to 223.8 with A LOT of set backs. My goal is 125-135. That's where I've felt the most comfortable before. Leah
