  • I'd say the 131 g of finished product contain the same amount of calories as the 411 g of raw potatoes. The calories stay the same, only the percentage of water decreases. So my calculation would be the following: (353*50)/131=135 kcal rounded up. But I must say, I am surprised they changed their weight that significantly.…
  • I'm 5ft4.5 SW 185 CW 169 GW 140 I have already got down to 149 once, it felt quite close to happy but it was getting incredibly hard to lose more. So I think less than 140 would not be realistic for me personally, especially when it comes to long term maintenance
  • Ok, I don't know if I can explain this right, BUT: Recently, I've been to a lecture at my university by a professor of molecular biology who explained some experiments related to the influence of nutrition on ageing and health. He put in a lot of information in one and a half hours, so I don't rembemer all the explanations…
  • You can do all kinds of curries, if you're into that. Today, I had the following for lunch (I was cutting up the stuff with the pot already on the oven and adding it to the pot when I was done) : Heat a teaspoon of olive oil in a pot, add 1 small potatoe (finely diced), 1 small onion and 2 cloves of garlic, mushrooms,…
  • stuffed pepper soup!!!!
  • Hi, I'm also looking for friends! I've never been much of a network-community type, but recently I feel like I could use support from people who have similar goals. (Because some of my friends find it kind of creepy that I weigh a lot of my food :-)) Also I would support you of course! So if you don't mind my bad English,…
  • I'm a student too, right now I have a little more money because I'm working quite a lot, but the last few years I've also been living on a tight budget. I don't know if my tips will help you that much because I live in Europe and I've heard that food in the USA is really expensive, but: I couldn't really afford to buy…
  • I only weigh myself like once or twice a month at my parents' place so I don't get to crazy about my weight. Today I was feeling quite self concious and fat, even though I did stick with my calories, so I decided to try on some clothes I haven't worn in a long time. First a skirt which was quite tight last summer, it's…
  • On skinnytaste.com there are some delicious recipes for baked oatmeal, it takes some time to make but you make like six servings at once and then heat it up everyday. I tried the banana-blueberry one and it was really good.
  • Feel free to add me, I'm also looking for some more friends :-)
  • Hi, I'm feeling EXACTLY the same! I also want to lose 15 kg (=34 lbs) and I'm just getting started. Could really use some motivation for exercice :-) If you want to, feel free to add me, I think some mutual support from people who feel the same would be great.
  • Hey you! Wow, you already lost 50 pounds, that's great! I'm also quite new on mfp and I am having some problems with keeping my diet clean (especially the days after I went out drinking (I'm a college student :-) ) I crave lots of unhealthy food) and motivating myself to exercise. I know how it works but it's really hard…
  • Sometimes, when I'm just craving to eat SOMETHING at night and not anything special I've been depriving myself from, i just tried to binge on low cal food, i mean really low cal, so that you can eat a whole package of it and still its not that much in calories.....I really got into canned esparragus and canned whole…
  • I'm on the same boat! When I go out drinkin, I try to save as many calories as possible to compensate for it.....but NOT AT DINNER! As a college student you probably know it already, drinkin on an empty stomach is EVIL! You react totally different to alcohol and end up way too drunk without having consumed the half of what…
