  • I signed up for the coaching not necessarily for the supplements. Thanks for those positive comments and contribution to this thread. I used mfp app and never came online, now I know why.
  • I can't eat before I workout/run because I feel it gives me cramps. I definitely have some protein afterwards, whether its a bar or a shake.. my trainers in the past said its to feed the muscles or fuel the metabolism after the workout. Can't really remember, just know that's what I was taught :)
  • hmm all this food sounds delish, I had some leftover beef stew (about 1.5 servings), with some yummy hot sauce...
  • Well, I friended you all... hope you don't mind.
  • lol... well, you know that's what I am looking for... I need chatterboxes in my life.. :)
  • Well thank you for posting, because this is the first time anyone has posted.
  • Hi, I found that starting with a short cardio prog first thing in the morning, boosts your metabolism helps. I started on a 10 min to a 15 min, and eventually 30 min on a elliptical program upon waking. From there you could move to doing what you can handle. I know do 5 - 6Km run 4 - 5 mornings a week. I find it helps with…
  • I stopped drinking diet pops a long time ago, prefer to drink mineral water (adding real fruit or lemon to it)... after reading all the stuff about how diet pops contribute to nerve damage, I decided best not to take that chance. I still can have a diet pepsi or ginger ale when I crave those fizzy drinks - usually maybe…
  • I was on this a similar pill years ago, and I have to say it worked on me losing about 50lbs,but I was a complete mental case. Perhaps this is a different kind, when I was on it, it was called Ionamin. I lost about 50 lbs on it, but unfortunately, I went overboard and would go for days without eating. I was down to about…
  • Since I am trying to limit my sugar intake, I tend to add spinach, kale, ginger, parsley, flax seed, almond milk (no sugar added) and add a protein power (24% protein), you could add a low fat greek yogurt to it. If you have to add fruit, stick to berries (antioxidants).
  • Before you head out to the running store for shoes, you need to start off training at a slow pace - doing proper stretching following your runs... start off slow and get in cross training in-between your runs. I use Asics Cumulus and have changed them 2 - 3 x a year. I started off doing a 5 k race and after one month, went…
  • I don't think that much... one is a bit slower pace, the other a faster constant pace... both offer benefits to the heart and overall fitness.
  • I was craving sweets, and settled with sharing a bavarian creme filled donut from the local grocer... oh well, normally I would eat the whole thing or two :))
  • Hi, a bit late in joining, but here I go..
  • those fish taco's look delish!
  • I usually take a salad with chicken to work, and am too lazy to throw in the fridge, and 'knock on wood', never been sick from it sitting there for a couple of hours. But to be safe, probably get one of those insulated lunch bags.
  • That's fantastic! As the others have said, no one will judge you...you will find a lot of support in your first run. You will find that many run at different paces, and do stop to walk during the run. I tend to stop for a min of 30s - 40s before I start running again. I started running going slow and completing a 5K at 40…
