On the brighter side, I am seeing inches lost, just not showing on the scale. Hope it changes soon...I am starting a new exercise routine next…
  • I have had the craziest few days! I have had very little sleep, been running around from one thing to the next (2 graduations and after-parties, family stuff, kid stuff, company, ran a 5K, etc), drove over 1200 miles, and constantly surrounded by food! I think I did OK with making good choices on the food, but the sodium…
  • Sorry kids, wasn't much help this week. I stayed the same, which I am actually feeling pretty good about because I am retaining a serious amount of water today...my toes look like little sausages. Way too much sodium at a friend's graduation party last night.
  • Julie, I'd say if you are feeling motivated, jump into it! Start with week one and give yourself a little cushion to repeat a week down the road if you need to or just get stronger after you have completed. I will probably be starting at week 4 on June 7 since I have been doing some running already (I will be doing a 5K…

Probably too much salt or something dumb...I am still in One-derland so I am not going to sweat…
  • I so excited that you all are starting C25K I think I could wet myself! But I won't. Just reading about you starting is really getting me motivated to jump in again...I was already going to do it, but now I know it will be easier to keep going. Julie, yoga is a great off-day activity. It helps strengthen the muscles and…
  • OK, I'm old and about to prove it! I like the AC/DC and Def Leppard channels on Pandora when I am working out. Nothing like some 80's big hair bands to get you moving. I have also listened to the Hoobastank channel and really like it for working out. Don't mock the elderly
  • Funny! I was going to post the same thing when I read the posts and then came to yours, Sweets!! That would be so cool to have us all movin' on down the road. I did C25K a couple of years ago and really liked it! I was able to get through it, run my first 5K then have some serious health issues for 1.5 years. I started it…
  • Well, I finished level 2 today. It is still working me hard, but I can tell that I am making progress so I guess I am ready to move on. It still makes me a little nervous, but hopefully my HRM will be here tomorrow so that will help with some motivation too. I can't wait to see what I am really burning and be able to feel…
  • OK, I was down 3 lbs this week!! I feel a little better after letting down my team last week. Back on track and ready to get Slytherin back on top!!
  • I am NOT...happy right now.

  • BTW, going to start Level 3 on Monday...getting a little nervous I think. Also, has anyone done "Ripped in 30"? How is different/similar to the Shred? And, is it worth getting? Thanks everyone... Keep on shredding!
  • I would love to work out a 5 week plan. The first of June would be great for me...I am hoping to see a drop in my stress level, some additional time to workout, and I will be done with DxJ by then. The end of June I start extensive traveling for work (happens every summer...stressful at times but I love it!), so having a…
  • I am waiting (impatiently!) for my HRM to arrive. It should be here the end of this week. I got the Polar FT7 for like $82 on Amazon. I will let you know how it is once I get it in my little hands! Nikki, so glad you are liking yours...does the chest strap bug you? Cheers!

  • Sweets, I totally agree about this thread! I think there is a core group here that will continue long after DxJ has run it's course for each of us. I have so appreciated all of you and the support. I feel a bit of a kinship here that hasn't hit me with any other group...I know, it's too late in the day for mush! Carry on!
  • Thanks for the reminder!! You are so right about the way you look and feel is what really matters. In addition, I think obsessing over the scale sets you up for a big problem later. Once you have reached your "goal weight" are you going to suddenly stop because you "made it"? This i not a journey where the end is what…
  • Sounds like death has a new standard! It makes me nervous/excited to start next week to read your post. I am going to finish my 10 days of level 2 this week, so we will see. You are doing so awesome though!! You will see some great results, I can feel it coming.
  • Julie, I think that's great! You are really doing well and it is paying off. It will be exciting to see what happens over the next few weeks. Keep it up!!
  • Thanks guys! I was pleased. It is even making me excited to move on to level 3 (after 5 more days of level 2 of course!) Nikki, my HRM should be here this week as well and I am sooooo excited!! I totally understand the bizarreness of being pumped about an heart rate monitor...so different from where I was even 6 months…
  • Starting Stats: Weight: 204 Chest: 44 Waist: 38 Hips: 46 Thighs: 27 Arms: 12 Half Way Stats: Weight: 201 (-3) Chest: 44 (no change) Waist: 35.5 (-2.5!) Hips: 44.5 (-1.5) Thighs: 26 (-1) Arms: 11.75 (-.25) Not bad for 2 weeks! Kind of helps keep me motivated to finish!!!
  • Sorry guys, I am up 0.2 this week. I have tried to exercise and watch the food, but it is that TOM thing and I think I did a little too much sodium yesterday!! I will redeem myself this week.
  • DxJ level 2 day 5 complete!!! My shoulders really felt it today, more than other days. Not sure why it would affect me so much after 5 days of level 2. Maybe I am doing better and working them harder? Anyway, I am glad to have it over with for today. I think I am going to measure tomorrow and see where I am at half way…
  • Eerie....but totally awesome!! Nice pick up Sweets.
  • I didn't want to, but I completed Death by Jillian...what is that bright light and should I go towards it?
  • I haven't been on any meds, or anything like it ;-), that are any different. The only thing that corresponds is jumping up to level 2 on the 30 Day Shred and adding some additional cardio work in (running and elliptical). Like I said, i don't feel sick at all, in fact I feel really good. i appreciate the advice...if it…
  • It is all the time, all day, not just after I exercise. I have no appetite and I have to remind myself that I need food. I don't feel queasy until I start eating and then i just start to feel full and then get queasy, not really nauseous, but unsettled to where I don't want any more. I don't want to over-react, but I'm not…
  • Jalara: I love your signature "Never settle with words what you can settle with a flame thrower" I think that is my motto for the day!! I think everyone is doing great! We are definitely going to kick booty and take names this week! Hang in there fellow Slytherins!!
  • Hey fellow Death by Jillian devotees...I love reading all the posts! I just finished Level 2 Day 3...13th day overall. I have missed a couple of days, but I am still kicking it out. I am starting to see and feel muscles...granted it is still under the layer of blubber, but it is definitely making a difference. I agree that…
  • I knew a gain was coming, I'm not sure why...at least it wasn't as bad as I feared. Next week will be better! start weight: 203 4/27 - 204.2 5/4 - 200.8! 5/11 - 201.2 (bleh) 5/18 - 5/25 - 6/1 - 6/8 - 6/15 - 6/22 - goal weight: 188
