  • I just joined TOPS...will be going to my first meeting on Tuesday...soooo excited and nervous. I really need the help and accountability and support to get losing again. Hope to get some new friends and support on this group too!
  • I would love to join the group!
  • Welcome Back! I too am starting over. I am old enough to be your mom (I know, because I have one that is older than you and a son that is 21 in June!), but I am happy to lend some support. Feel free to "friend" me. Charice
  • I don't think I could handle the emotions of that type of relationship, but I believe that not all people are the same, nor should they be. If you are happy, and if everyone involved knows the situation, then good for you. Admittedly, it is not a common situation so I don't know how many others you will find that are in a…
  • hey hey hey! not true! i want to know where all the normal guys have gone! the ones that don't feel the need to straighten there hair! and bad boys are just not worth the time or energy.. where are the just generally decent guys!! [/quote] Here, here! I also find it interesting that so many men on this thread have said…
  • ^^^ Ouch...thank you for your confession.
  • <That is my grand-daughter I am holding in my profile pict! My daughter, her mother, is 22!
  • Well, tonight I am going to be playing basketball as I coach my daughter's team and we have practice...I always play with the girls and work up quite a sweat. The rest of my week looks like this: Tues: Coach in game (still get sweaty but not as bad...I take the games too seriously sometimes) Gym - 30 minutes cardio…
  • I weighed in and didn't change...exactly the same! I am not going to complain too much, both of my daughters had birthdays this week and I am starting a new week without any birthdays!
  • I am thinking I will pool my money and treat myself to a spa day...facial, massage, etc. It will be more than the $5 pool, but I will take the roughly $50 and add bonus money for reaching my goal! Just as a thought...I also considered putting each $5 goal on my iTunes account and getting music or movies or whatever with…
  • Hi, Thanks for starting this group...I think it is a great idea! I am recently getting back in the groove after falling off the wagon for a while. I started over with a weight of 212.4...my ultimate goal is 165...but I like the idea of 5 lbs at a time!! My name is Charice and I look forward to getting to know others!
  • 2 Sorry, didn't see the format post until after I posted... OK, I didn't have time to get on yesterday and log...so here are my numbers. 1/2/12 -- Day 1= 30 minute brisk walk 1/3/12 -- Day 2 - Jan 3 = 45 minutes coaching basketball, 30 minutes C25K, 15 minutes stretching
  • OK, this is gonna be tough because my daughter is going to deliver my first grandbaby any day now...but I need to get on this! Start it tomorrow. Thanks!!
  • The first time I did 30DS I was sore until about day 4 or 5...I feel your pain today though, literally. I just started 30DS over again and can't move today. I am going to stick it out again today though because I know there are amazing results if I do. The first time (6 months ago) I lost 6 pounds but 23 inches! Stay…
  • Excellent post Nikki...and excellent attitude!! I am SO glad that your husband is doing so well...I'm glad for both of you. You did so well getting in shape for your wedding that I have every confidence that you will be struttin' your stuff next Summer. I am getting back on the wagon myself after 3 months of health issues…
  • The same thing happened to me when I was going through my divorce. I am normally a stress eater, but for a few months after my divorce I couldn't eat without getting sick. I lost a bunch of weight...unfortunately I wasn't able to keep it off. Eventually my stress level evened out and I started eating again. You could talk…
  • That's great! I have kept 3 sizes in my closet for some time, two weeks ago I took everything that was too big or that I just didn't wear and gave it away. It was a huge garbage bag full of stuff. The problem I am having now is that I don't have a lot of clothes left, and one more size and I won't have anything that fits,…
  • Personally, I think that is why we need to get in the mindset of "lifestyle change" rather than "dieting". If I don't make that mental shift, then once I stop "dieting" my old lifestyle choices will put me right back where I was. This is not another "diet" for me...this is a wholesale "lifestyle choice". Not everyone has…
  • When I first started, I got a really cheap wrist watch from Walmart for about $12 and used it all through the first time I did C25K. Another idea, not very exciting but it might work...try counting your steps. I found that my job pace is about a complete step (both feet) per second. Just keep running but count it out in…
  • Sorry I've been a bit quiet...been traveling. I did W2D1 today on the treadmill. Interestingly, I had some real shin-splint pain. Been running outside and did fine, today my left leg is screaming at me!! Go figure. Nothing to stop me though. Looks like all of you are doing really well. Keep it up all!
  • No real change this week...but I am now home for a while, so I hope to get back into a routine. Traveling is sooooo hard on a diet! I have only spent 4 of the last 14 nights in my own bed!! Hope everyone else is keeping at it!!! 9/29: 201.4 10/6: 201.8 10/13: 203.2 ;-( 10/20: 203.4 Cheers!
  • I was out of town at a conference so I am just getting around to my post for last week...it looks like everyone is hanging tough!! I had a bad week for food (traveling out of state) and it shows. I am really puffy though so I think it is a lot of water retention. It is also that TOM thing so maybe next week will be better!…
  • OK, I am going to jump in! I have done C25K before, but I want to do it again. I have joined a couple of challenges the past few months and, for various reasons (health, traveling, injury), I have had to drop out...I really want to try again. I am hoping to build back up slowly and get my knee working right again. Thanks…
  • OK, I am up .4 today...but I went way over on sodium yesterday so I am hoping it is water weight. I really have been working hard and yesterday morning I was down, so hopefully next week will show it. The only problem is I will be traveling for work for the next week so we will see how it goes. Hope everyone else is doing…
  • All of the above are great suggestions. If she could get a book, a simple form could be created and printed for her that she could use to track on if money is tight. Probably just as important...whatever method to track that she uses, she, and your mom, will need the support system that programs like MFP and Weight…
  • So how is everyone doing? I have had a rough week exercise wise...but my food choices have definitely improved. I still have some work to do in that department, but I am making baby steps. Would love to friend anyone who is looking for some mutual support!!
  • I'm lost...I thought we were posting on the other thread as well. I was a 2 lbs, but I am hoping it drops easily and gives me a boost. 9/29: 201.4 Thanksgiving goal: 185 (anything in the 180s would be good.)
  • OK, first weigh in today was up two pounds from what I was yesterday...oh well, I am going to start with today's weight...it will hopefully give me a jump start to lose it! 9/29: 201.4 Thanksgiving Goal: 189
