I'm too small to give blood!

Surely if you are depressed about the weight going up (ie trying to lose weight or maintain?) you are not really gong to see any improvement in your lifting? Particularly as you are not very big anyway? I know my lifting (which is probably similar to yours for bench) is not going to improve as I have a total phobia of…

Just weigh itvtaw at home and use cooked measurements for meat you buy ready cooked.
-
That was what i was going to suggest - either have your dinner earlier, or factor in some healthy stuff - maybe some carrots and houmous, or whatever? But eating soon after you get home would be best i should think.

My favourite feel good thing is to get out in the countryside and go for a long walk in the fresh air. It always clears my head and makes me feel happy and calm.
-
Good luck with your goals (from another vertically challenged female!).

I use a scoop sometimes as I tend to not eat enough protein - its not my favoured way of eating, so it helps ...

I'm even smaller than you! Walking is my favourite exercise too, but its also worth doing other knee strengthening exercises (I have chronic knee problems). Obviously wait til its not too painful, then start doing exercises that increase the range of movement - body weight squats and lunges, light dead lifts - all these…

I find not only do i have to put the scales in EXACTLY the same place (lined up with the tiles!), but also i have to make sure i stand on exactly the spot on the scales too! Also the obvious stuff of weighing yourself same time of day, same clothes etc (I find it easiest to do it first thing, post ablutions, with just…

Those scales are totally rubbish. They don't even get in the ballpark - the last time i got on one of those, i was measure at about 14% body fat (which is like some sort of athlete!). I am definitely nowhere near that - probably more near 22%.

I hate recipes that say something like 'one potato'. Potatoes come in so many sizes!
-
I just would go for a generic pizza entry - but go for one of the higher calorie options.
-
It's tricky when you are very small - I'm similar (about 5 foot and about 104 pounds). I probably maintain on around 15-1600 calories and I get those extra to you because I walk a fair bit and do a bit of exercise. I just log alcohol as calories, try to save a few during the week for the weekends, and drink lower calorie…

Weight lifting doesn't really burn that many calories I don't think.

I can't get pacer to attach to MFP

I think its pretty common for that sort of medication to mess with your weight. Mostly because it seems to affect appetite - I took antidepressants years ago for a while and totally lost my appetite. Obviously your mental health is more important than a few kilos, but if you can try to eat as much volume as possible for…

Like they all said - its a matter of it restricting calories. And it can be as healthy or unhealthy as you are prepared to make it. Like any way of eating. However, the gut feeling I have about keto/paleo is that I feel very uncomfortable PERSONALLY about a regime that GENERALLY is promoting eating a diet that is…

I don't think i would burn that much if I was running away from zombies! Uphill! Carrying a bag of rocks!

Overnight protein oats (oats, chocolate protein powder, cherries, raspberries, greek soya yoghurt, nut milk); Half a lobster, skinny fries, glass of white wine; Sesame tofu, veg, rice.

A pound a week is a lot for a small person with not a lot to lose. Relax.
-
Same as most people here - be reasonably strong, not get out of breath, be able to balance and bend! Not drink/eat too much. For me my self worth is very much tied up with my weight (not a good thing, but I can't seem to fix it), so keeping my weight down fits in there too.
-
Its probably easier if you look at a weekly average of calories - i tend to eat less during the week, then more at the weekend (with a couple of drinks, maybe cake).
-
I would have guessed that 700 calories for 70 minutes of anything sounds a bit much - unless you were literally at heart busting level constantly.
-
Same here - i'm just over 5 foot, husband is about 6 foot. So I make a point of giving him a larger portion of everything (although I could easily eat the same size as him). I've been counting calories (although not very precisely) for maybe 3 years now - it definitely helps me stay at a weight that stops me feeling like a…

Snowpiercer - just about watchable; Uncut Gems - surprisingly good, though rather frenetic!

It is a total myth that there aren't any overweight vegans! There definitely are! Its all down to how many calories you eat - and its still possible to overeat vegan food! Personally i could eat half a loaf of bread a day, several hundred grams of nuts, a couple of avocados, a big old bowl of pasta and that's without any…

Don't worry - I've googled it.!

I eat tofu already, and lentils on occasion. Never tried seitan. What is it?
-
just add that 14-1500 calories sounds very low for a person of 5'9". Perhaps you need to up them a bit? I know I lose weight (albeit slowly) on around 1400 and I am only 5 foot and 105 pounds.
-
I will - I'm cutting down animal products at the moment (for environmental reasons) and that has had a bit of an impact on my protein intake. I am obviously going to have to up the nuts and beans a bit!
