I feel that the things I can sacrifice are sleep, work, or class. And I feel like I can't sacrifice any of those, especially sleep (I need sleep to effectively manage my health issues).

I'm 5'2" and 125! Hey, twin! I actually have the same issues. I would check your posture. Also, sometimes, it's bloat.

I recommend light exercises -- yoga, walking, and light jogging are very good. Listen to your body...treat it well during this time. Usually, when I'm about to start my period, I drink a ton more water and up my essential vitamins.

I use to be the same way. I actually went cold turkey. The first few weeks were hard, but it REALLY pays off.

I know your pain. I'm allergic to pomegranate, too.
-
I forgot that I'm allergic to avocado, too! I just eat what I don't have reactions to. I find new allergies often, but I learn to work around them. You all are so strong! I'm so happy for you guys! Keep doing you...you're doing great!

My personal health, both physical and mental. I feel much more confident after a run than I ever have before. I feel beautiful covered in sweat. Plus, I've lost a ton of inches; and my physical health has improved greatly. So I want to go farther! Plus, I want a six-pack. :D

I use this one: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/ But I agree with the others...ask people at your gym. In case you don't go to a gym, use that. It's also important to use the same calculator/resource every time because machines can differ and can be calibrated differently.

There's this beautiful street in my city that's lined with shops that has an eclectic, "hipster" feel. I run down that street. It's actually more of an area...a neighborhood. On my downtime days, I exercise at home using the Wii Fit.

Single, too. Working on my own happiness.

I LOVE weight-lifting. I love pull-ups, sit-ups, push-ups. I also love swimming.
-
Thank you so much! I'm still scared...very scared. I hope I can provide for myself.
-
I just want to be able to provide for myself; I want a simple life. I don't need anything luxurious...believe me. :-)
-
I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with "working for myself" because of the economic recession. I'll look into being an online coach, though. Thank you!

I never thought about training a boot camp or anything...maybe I can look into that. I really just want to help people find the beauty and amazement in exercise and health. But it sounds like personal training is awful...

I focus more on time than calories burned...try that! I'm running at least 30 minutes three times per week; and I, too, get irritated because I'm not burning much. But it's about how you feel and improving yourself, not the calories. Best of luck!

Whenever I get a sweet tooth, I usually eat some sweet fruit -- pears or mangoes, usually. But if my sweet tooth is particularly bad, I'll try to find a "healthier alternative" frozen yogurt instead of ice cream, dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate, etc. Play around, and see what happens! And there's also, of course,…

Try ****'s Sporting Goods. They have AMAZING bras with amazing padding and support. I'm a 34DD, so I have problems of my own...but they solved them all! I have to warn you: their bras are a bit expensive...but they're totally worth it. Best of luck!

When I tone up, I'm going to buy a little black dress for a friend's wedding. I hope I look good in it!

Being a femme lesbian, I am assumed to be straight constantly. I also get solicited by men a lot, and they usually don't respect boundaries. "You're gay? I don't believe you. You're too beautiful." "No, no, I don't want anything...I just wanna hang with you, beautiful." "You just haven't met the right guy yet. Give me a…

If I wake up in time, I do. I feel much better when I eat breakfast (as long as it's healthy and well-proportioned).

Recent NSVs: 1.) My muscles are sore, and I LOVE the feelings. My thighs, shoulders, and sides are burning. 2.) I haven't touched a soda in a while. 3.) I picked up my fitness regimen yesterday after being off of it for months, and I LOVE IT! 4.) I ran yesterday without a shirt on (sports bra, sweat band around stomach,…

You're exercising for YOU, no one else. The only things that matters when you're running is how YOU feel and how YOU are taking care of yourself. Focus on running. Focus on one foot in front of the other. Focus on the parts of exercise that make you happy -- whether it be seeing your improvements or feeling how sore your…

I wear a size 3 or 5, depending on the pant. But what REALLY sucks is how everything is catered to "average-height" people...which is understandable, but it's still frustrating. I' only 5'2", so I'm constantly pulling my pants up because the legs are so long. It's sad.

I used to be a competitive swimmer, so let's see if I can give you some pointers. :-) First off, if you're swimming just to learn how to swim, a standard one-piece will do. HOWEVER, if you're using swimming to work out, I suggest getting a one piece that's a bit baggy. The bagginess of the one-piece will create drag in the…

I make it with milk and add a touch of sugar and butter. Then, I add some fruit (usually bananas). Mmmmmm!

YES! Rest days are super important. You need to give your body time to heal and grow. When I was doing Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, I use Saturday and Sunday as my rest days. When I worked out independently, I only worked out three times per week (and every other Saturday). Use your rest days to either relax or do light…

I'm DEATHLY AFRAID of losing my teeth. The thoughts makes shivers go down my spine. I hated losing teeth as a kid, and I DESPISE the thought of it now. Idk what it is, but it FREAKS ME OUT. I have nightmares about it.

I have cheat "moments" -- a bite of chocolate or two. Keeping your health in check is about moderation. If you don't let yourself let go every once in a while (in small doses), then your body will crave the food super hard; and you may crash and go ballistic. I suggest little moments every once a week -- every few days or…

For me, it's ALWAYS the "getting ready and getting there" part that sucks. But you've got to truck through it. Think about how good you feel during and after, and think about the big changes you're making in your life. You've just got to motivate yourself! It's in there...promise!
