  • I actually wasn't thinking of a celebrity at all when I started my self-improvement journey...but now that I think about it, I kind of want to look like Jillian Michaels when I'm done. I love her confidence despite her muscle. Most of the women I've met on MFP are afraid of "looking bulky" or "too muscley", which is, I…
  • I eat, then log. But I look at the caloric intake per serving on the container if I can.
  • Do NOT do 30DS straight through; that is, don't do it for 30 days straight. Terrible idea. Your body needs time to rest and repair. What I'm doing right now is doing 30DS Monday through Friday and then resting on Saturday and Sunday. I've seen great results so far. However, I read somewhere that Jillian recommends doing…
  • My girlfriend used to put Vaseline and baby powder on her inner thighs when she worked in retail and was constantly on her feet. It worked wonders for her. She tried bandages, too; but those weren't as successful. Have you tried UnderArmour compression shorts or capris? They're like a second skin, but they're airy and…

  • Every male is different. My motto always was that the right person will come along...relationships are like wine. The longer you wait, the better it is. And coming from a lesbian point of view, I think you're gorgeous. Don't let any situation drain your confidence, okay? You'll find someone worth it. Don't slow down for…
  • I like looking at my progress photos and seeing how my clothes hang off of my body. Let's hope I get to a six-pack one day. Best of luck to you! :flowerforyou:
  • I actually started seeing results after the first week (halfway through Level 1). Granted, I had been going to the gym beforehand for a few months; and my body had "phoned in" my workouts. So the new workouts shocked my body into changing.
  • Macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, rice, and baked potatoes.
  • Hello! I injured my left shoulder six years ago. I was at a swim practice and didn't tense my arms when I dove in, so the pressure of the water and the impact of the drive yanked my left arm to the right. I almost dislocated my shoulder. There's no popping, but there was pain if I lifted my arm too high. Today, my left…
  • I have a banana...or some baked chicken. [:
  • I'm actually an Actuarial Science major at my university, which is a branch of mathematics; so I completely understand. Math is beautiful and fascinating.
  • Oh, no! No injuries, right?
  • Hahahaha, that's fantastic! Happens to me, too. Exercise loosens up those intestines!
  • Based on what I've read and heard from friends, the "fat acceptance movement" is not about "I'm overweight, and I'm okay with it!" in terms of health. It's "I'm considered overweight according to society's measures, but I still have feelings of confidence and self worth." We live in a shaming society -- fat-shaming,…
  • I'm on Day 4 of Level 2; and I've got to say that I've seen fantastic results. I'll post photos if you'd like.
  • I do kegels and ab-tightening exercises. I just tense my abs and release. You can always put something between your legs and squeeze it as tightly as you can, and then release.
  • My Under Armour compression shorts, Gold's Gym waist sweatbelt, and my sports bra from ****'s Sporting Goods.
  • I usually throw in a teeny bit of butter and a teeny bit of sugar...it does wonders. Yum yum. Or I throw in a scrambled egg.
  • When I reach my goal body measurements, I am going to buy myself new clothes (since my old ones tend to hang off of me). I'm going to Myrtle Beach as well. And I'm going to buy a Victoria's Secret bathing suit. Super excited! Best of luck to everyone! :drinker:
  • I'm on day 11, and I've seen a ton of progress. My waist has shrank significantly, and I am much stronger. Stick with it!
  • "If you're sweating, you're still alive. Keep going."
  • My dad's girlfriend bought it for me when I was in high school, so I don't remember what brand it is; but I feel your pain! I'm a 34DD, which is apparently a rare band/cup combo. No sports bra would work. I got my current sports bra from ****'s Sporting Goods, and it straps me in like my life depends on it. I've had it for…
  • Have you been dieting for a long time? When your body hasn't had heavily-processed foods in a while, it reacts adversely to the crap that's in processed, unhealthy food. I had Chik-Fil-A a few months ago, and I was in horrible pain. Not only did I get horrible diarrhea and felt uneasy for a few days, but I also felt like I…
  • I've been taking photos every "week" (I work out five times per week, so it levels out to two times per level). It helps keep me motivated, and you do see a difference as early as the completion of day five of Level 1.
  • I would buy free range if I could find it in the grocery store. However, I'm more concerned with if the chicken is hormone-free and has had a good diet and the resulting meat is minimally processed (if at all).
  • I've always been wary of diet drinks; that's why I stick with water and all-natural, organic, no-sugar-added fruit juice (but mostly water). BUT if I HAD to pick one, I'd go with Diet Arizona. Mostly because I don't know the ingredients in it. I suggest you look up both products and compare the ingredients.
  • I love ice cream -- specifically, vanilla with caramel sauce or sprinkles. When I'm PMSing (I have PMDD, so my cravings are super intense), I usually get the smallest available size of blizzard at Dairy Queen. Specifically, I get the new confetti cake blizzard. When I get a craving for ice cream, though, I usually get…
  • Eh, it's whatever to me. Calories burned are calories burned. It could be worse: I read somewhere that watching TV for an hour burns 200 calories. At least MFP doesn't include that!
  • Best of luck! I started 30DS ten days ago; I start Level 2 tomorrow. I've already seen progress! Let me know if you want photos as inspiration. :flowerforyou:
