Has the container been open for a while, or was it still sealed before you noticed the smell? I have not had a problem with sealed containers of yogurt being good long after their dates (like a couple of months). If they are open, they tend to get "funny" faster. If you aren't comfortable with it, don't eat it. It can't…

SNORT! Yeah, right, like a tanned geek could ever maintain any credibility! (Yes, I know from my personal experience as a geek!)

Bwa-Ha-Ha-Ha! Welcome to the OTHER side!

That brown paper bag makes the sandwich. Why would anybody want to even TRY to eat a PB&J that has not been placed in a plastic bag and then into a paper bag at the bottom of your backpack for a few hours? ;-)

Raspberry and apricot are my two favorites. Basically "jam" has pieces of whatever fruit in it, "jelly" has been strained, so it is similar to fruit flavored gelatin if you use a big stretch of the imagination. PB&J is typically called "Peanut Butter and Jelly" regardless of whether or not you use jelly, jam or preserves.

It seems like this type of issue occurs pretty regularly. I've seen quite a few posts where the initial info is entered wrong, and the person is wondering why they are set up to GAIN weight instead of LOSE weight (hint, if your initial weight is 22 lbs instead of 220, and your goal weight is 150, then MFP will set you up…

OK, I've gotta ask. How do you take that picture without weighing the camera too? (OK, OK, so it really doesn't matter since you are looking at the difference, unless someone has a really creative way to do it!)

You've lost about 9 pounds in 3 weeks. That is an exceptionally large loss for your body to handle. I'd chalk it up to your body adjusting to the loss, keep doing what you are doing and see what next week brings. I've noted that for me, I lose weight in about a 4 week cycle. I will lose very little for two weeks (about a…

Chobani vanilla yogurt, 6 ounces Kellogs All Bran Bran Buds, 1/3 cup Total of 190 filling calories. I typically eat the yogurt with fruit, so on those days it is more like 210 calories for breakfast. Breakfast is about 5:30am, 200 calorie snack of coffee and some protein (cottage cheese, banana with peanut butter) around…

You need to see a doctor that will take this seriously. The symptoms you list are broad and can be attributed to a number of problems. I have had ALL those symptoms as part of my chronic auto-immune disorder, for example. A good doctor will help you sort things out and get appropriate treatment.

If you google "iron rich foods" you will come up with a whole list.

You'd love this recipe... a little high in sodium if you are watching that, but easy to make "healthy" in all other ways (e.g tomato sauce instead of ketchup, add extra tuna so it is a whole meal in itself). I always have jars of it in my pantry.…

Way less than 5 minutes, and absolutely painless.

This is true using your teaspoon, but different flatware sets have different sized teaspoons. Some people are also more skilled at heaping it on. It all comes down to what level of accuracy each of us is satisfied with, "close enough" can work quite well.
-
It means in a measuring tablespoon (not the one that is a part of your flatwear), and.leveled off with the back of a knife.

MFP has pretty low protein goals. It is safe to consider them a minimum instead of a target or maximum.

My grandmother's name was Elaine, and my mother's middle name is Elaine. Small world! ;-) I got really tired of weighing and measuring things, so I made it a game. When eating at home, I dish out the portions and THEN weigh/measure them. This helps train my portion control for when I'm eating out, and very often I need to…

Maybe she was looking for something besides mashed sweet potatoes? (Ducking and running....)

Oh MAN! I was going to say the same thing, but didn't because she requested no comments on the chips!

Yes, the pasta absorbs an appreciable amount of cooking liquid while it cooks, a certain quantity of dry pasta will always be heavier after cooking. Your 1:2 ration sounds about right in my experience.
-
The way to tell is to look at the net weight of the box. If the box contains about 14 ounces of pasta (2 ounces X 7 servings) then it is dry weight. If the box contains something drastically different from 14 ounces of pasta, then take that weight and divide it by 7. E.g. If the box contains 14.5 ounces of pasta, then 2…

I get those problems when I consume too much sugar. Are you sure it is the protein? Your diet looks heavy on beans and leafy green stuff that can also cause gas. Maybe try Beano?

I just dug this info up for another member last night... I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV, but I have had success with the exercises for patello femoral syndrome at www.nismat.org when I had similar symptoms.

And you said you were getting enough fiber! The only reason I knew to ask is that I just went through this myself, and the fiber was the culprit.
-
Leela, you've done a really cool thing here. Instead of asking for some person to tell you what to do, you decided to see for yourself how your body reacts and invited others to join. Way to go! I can think of three.reasons why people experienced such success. 1. Not eating exercise calories causes a bigger calorie deficit…

Count me in the all 1's group. I can tell you from experience that there isn't much worse than having this conversation with my own mother, who thinks that since she is single, and the guy is in an "unhappy marriage", that it is OK. In a relationship, either everybody is single, or they are married to each other. Anything…

Are you getting enough fiber and water? There will always be waste, our bodies aren't that efficient.

I think people are just worried about everybody (you included!) staying safe. I don't think it was meant as a personal attack.
