  • www.KLOVE.com - thanks for asking!
  • I'm not pushing my beliefs on anyone, but had to share this with you. I subscribe to an inspirational "thought for the day" e-mail and this was the thought for today: For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?... Isaiah 43:19, NLT The timing couldn't have been better!
  • I hate to sound like Family Feud, but "good answer, Loretta"!! It's so easy for all of us to focus on the negative, probably because we get so much practice at it. Christmas should be a time to focus on family. This year I focused on my plan for the new year (starting on this website) and enjoyed my time with my family.…
  • When you get that new outfit, make sure someone gets a picture of you in it! Good luck - it looks like there are several of us in about the same boat weight-wise.
  • OK - I'm in too. Valentine's Day is 7 weeks away. Current weight is 196 and I'm shooting for 186 by then. Good luck to all of us!!!
  • hello back from another Oregon member! Good luck on your journey - may it be peaceful and rewarding.
  • Hi and welcome! I'm new too and ultimately need to lose about 55 lbs. For myself, it's not realistic to try to lose that much in six months, so my short-term goal is 30 lbs. by the first of July when my parents will celebrate their 60th anniversary. Count me in as a friend and partner in your weight loss efforts:smile:
  • I keep my screen name simple so I can remember it. Before I retired, the place where I worked used the first 3 letters of your first name and the first 3 letters of your last name as your online ID, so . . . I'm chepic. Not terribly original, but somewhat easy to remember (unless I change my name)
  • My New Year's resolution is to create one good habit to replace a bad habit. For this year, it's to eat all meals at the table instead of in front of the TV. So far, with 2 meals behind me, I'm on track:laugh: My second resolution is to be 30 lbs thinner by the time my parents celebrate their 60th anniversary in July. I…
  • I wouldn't have thought of Kate Winslet, but you're absolutely right! She is curvy, not skinny. I might have her body type, if not her size. Unfortunately, I'm considerably (like 30 years) older and body parts have a tendency to shift downward as we get older:laugh:
  • Evening TV and snacking just seem to go hand in hand. My husband's dietician advised him to NEVER eat in front of the TV. It becomes an automatic reflex - see TV, get food. Even though I know this is true from experience, it is a VERY hard habit to break. One answer I've come up with that won't work for everyone is to keep…
  • Thank you for your support. I've walked by the leftover Christmas candy today several times and not taken one yet! I know it won't be easy, but I remember something someone told me a long time ago. Every journey begins with a step in the right direction. Some of us take the scenic route and some take the freeway. It's okay…
  • I wish you the best in your efforts!

  • I decided yesterday (after totally pigging out) that the day after Christmas was a good day to start eating healthier. So, I joined this website. This morning at 6:30 my Mom called to let me know my brother-in-law had a heart attack early this morning. Praise God he's doing okay - they put a stent in his artery and he…
