  • This has probably been said here, but alas I don't have all day to read 7 pgs of comments - of the vegans (and even some of the vegetarians) I know, most have a hard time getting the nutrients the bodies needs that meat provides. Sure, you can pop a pill or drink a supplement, but many times there are other ingredients in…
  • I'll have some cardio and strength minutes left over if anyone needs them. Seriously thinking about counting the 'event' we had this morning as cardio too. My daughter couldn't find her show shirt for band this morning. I offered to look in her closet while she finished getting ready for early am rehearsal. Sweet heavens,…
  • Hey @JeralynSh....my birthday was Monday too! Hope yours was great!

  • Completed the character video, and logged it as aerobics.
  • OK, I did the punishment video and logged it as calisthenics. I didn't use weights, but I'm thinking I'll do it again before the week's out with some dumb bells.
  • I just came across this group and would love to join if it's not too late! Starting weight (as of 10/20) is 147.6
  • Congrats Brightsideofpink and MissTiffamee....you guys are setting the bar high!
  • I vote zombie workout as well. Also, my speculation on the whole Bob B Que....he went outside to be sad because he got bit at the food bank and was going to kill himself. Now he's infected and the Terminites ate him.
  • Beginner/Beth Cardio - 149/70 Strength - 65/40 Within calories -yes Beth Challenge - yes
  • @jamielynnmobile - there's 3 exercises in that workout that puts body weight on hands/wrists, Burpees, Twisted Mountain Climber w/ Leg Lift & Crossover Toe Tap w/ Leg Lift. Maybe you could do 5 exercies for 50 seconds each 5 x (to get roughly the same time as the 8 for 3 rounds??). Here' the five - Ski Squat w/ Windmill…
  • sweat heavens....if we assigned Turkish GetUps as punishments, we better not ever lose again....cuz ya know what they say about paybacks! I'd probably drop the bar/kettle bell on my face while trying to lay back down.
  • Yes - it was a butt-kicker (or should I say *kitten* kicker in honor of lil' Judith?) Can't wait to see Beth's appearance, hopefully she'll be in the next episode.
  • Hey Everyone - I'm am super excited that this challenge is almost here (it was a LONG 7 months!!) I've been on MFP for a while. I keep loosing and finding the same 10 lbs - and would like to ultimately loose 25 and keep it off for good. I had a hysterectomy in April and am just about back to my cardio endurance levels.…
  • I'm sticking with my girl Beth; and I'll leave the level at Beginner - I could barely hang on last season :) Thanks Cindy for pulling this all together again - YOU'RE AWESOME!!!
  • Yes, 3 cats, a dog and a husband...and I'm the one who caught it. It was actually kinda cute and my daughter wanted to keep it...but we didn't!!
  • Once upon a time, I was a runner. With this xtra weight, it puts too much strain on my joints. At present, my go-to cardio is an elliptical. Hoping once I drop maybe another 10 lbs I might get back into running.

  • Hi Ladies! welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend! Getting connected with others has really helped me reach my fitness goals. I've also found that joining challenges helps too - being accountable keeps me motivated! ~Patti
  • Hi Everyone - feel free to add me! I enjoy motivating others (it keeps me on track too!). Also, I find it's helpful to join challenges, even if they're just mini-challenges, it sure helps to be accountable. Blessings, Patti
  • What's your FB group? I've been trying not to be discouraged with the (lack of) weight loss since my surgery. It seems I've always been trying to loose weight, even before the surgery, but really have puts lots of effort in the 3 months since and still not to my pre-surgery weight.
  • I'm bumping this because I'm curious as to what answers you get. I don't have a HRM or fitness tracker, but have done some research. FitBit seems to be just a souped up pedometer - it doesn't really measure your calories burned. I've heard good things about the Polar series. We're on a really tight budget, so I'll have to…
  • Hello! Welcome :) Feel free to add me - having friends on here does keep me motivated - and accountable. Blessings!
  • Well hello, nurse! I agree that journaling is a big help when trying to eat to plan. MFP is really helpful for me because I feel accountable to my friend here. There are those that will call me out if I'm not sticking to the plan. Good luck to you, feel free to add me as a friend if you like! Blessings, Patti
  • My husband often reminds me that he must love me because he lets so many cats live in our house: Clockwise from the top left - Boots (we lost him last year) and Butterscotch; my daughter with Lil' Mamma; and Wynston chillin' watching a movie. All of our fur babies have been rescues :) PS - lovin' all the love for los gatos…
  • Thanks for sharing your story Bonnie! I'm glad you found something that works for you. I haven't had any serious weight gain, and I'm within 1 pound of my pre-surgery weight. It's not dropping of as easy as it did, but I'll take it. On a side note - I've heard good stories from asthmatics that started using ACV daily and…
  • Hi Everyone - I've been on MFP for a while, this is my 2nd go 'round. It really is easier to stay on track when you've got friends making the journey with you.
  • At Target the other day I saw vanilla oreos with watermelon filling....it was a sacrilege! They coulda at least called it by a different name!

  • Hi Lori! I'm Patti...I too am looking to lose 20#. I (re)started MFP in February, joined a challenge and lost 8# in 8 weeks. Then I had a hysterectomy, got side lined for 5 weeks and was just released to get back to exercise. I've noticed that I have the most success when I join an MFP challege - when I'm accountable to…
