She probably lifts weights and trains miss know it all. AND FYI if a person doesn't want to starve themselves they can get to upwards of 15-17x body weight as their maintenance calories.

For your weight 1400 calories is def a bit low. If you weigh 165 lbs, you should still be losing if you ate 1650-1845 calories per day. Ideally the long term goal is to be near the top of your max calorie range and still lose fat. Try this for 2 weeks: Set your cals somewhere between 1650 & 1845 on myfitness pal. (Dont eat…
