I knew I would struggle with the pre-op diet, so I took my normal portion sizes and cut them in half, eliminated almost all soda, and increased water intake. Try to sub a protein shake per day when you can.

I had the sleeve done on March 12, 2012 and have lost 80 lbs so far. It's the best decision I ever made. I think it's better than Lap-Band, because you don't have to mess with all the fills, and better than gastric bypass and all of the malabsorbtion issues.

Had gastric sleeve back on March 12. Down almost 70 lbs. Never had any problems with malnutrition/vomiting/nausea. I still have mental cravings but I know that my stomach will not hold the huge amounts of food it once did. Getting the sleeve was a decision I should have made 10 years ago.

Our animal friends are quite tasty. Definitely give it another try!
