  • Hi Lilli, I'm Sue... Plant based and trying to lose 15 pounds. Feel free to add me.
  • Got this recipe about a month ago on another thread. It was delicious! http://thevegan8.com/2015/06/06/smoky-barbecue-sweet-potato-chickpea-burgers/ I use Happy Herbivore's recipes a lot, love her taco burgers.
  • I think it is very possible. I've done 4 marathons, 1 an ultra and I almost always have only run 3 days a week. I do a spin class once a week, which I think is comparable to doing a 4th run. If you are already at half marathon level, then it shouldn't be a problem to jump into week 2 or 3 of an 18 week program like the…
  • I love Arbonne's vanilla. Chocolate is good too
  • Me too!
  • I use a pea/cranberry/rice protein blend from Arbonne that I LOVE. My favorite smoothie is about a cup of almond milk, kale, 1/2 frozen banana, ginger, cinnamon and the protein powder. I also put it in my oatmeal. I use chocolate or vanilla, sometimes a scoop of both.
  • My go to breakfast is a protein shake. I blend it with kale and half a frozen banana, sometimes 1/4 of an avocado, makes it creamier and it stays with you for a few hours. My brand that I use has 20 grams of protein.
  • Here is a really good vegan lentil taco recipe. I made it this past weekend but converted it to a salad because it was for a pot luck. It was a big hit and SO easy to make. http://sundaymorningbananapancakes.blogspot.com/2013/01/lentil-tacos.html
  • Everything I've made from Forks Over Knives I have loved. The other one I use a lot and really like is Peas and Thank You. I love the Oh She Glows and Post Punk Kitchen blogs.
  • I am over sugar every day too! I figure as long as it is mostly from fruit and not from snacking it is okay. I am vegan and mostly eat plant based foods, don't have a predisposition to diabetes so I'm not going to worry about it.
  • Have you checked out vegan blogs such as Oh She Glows or Peas and Thank You or Fat Free Vegan ? Those are three of my favorites and most things I've cooked I've liked. Findingvegan.com is also a good source for recipes.
  • I've been vegan for almost two years now and have not complaints. I thought giving up cheese was going to be hard, but it really wasn't bad for me. I am also a runner and this year I have run the fastest in all distances, including the marathon and attribute it to my diet. I do believe that there is a food plan that works…
  • Hi, I'm a lot older than you but you can friend me. I have been a runner for 14 years and vegan for almost two now. I've had 8 PR's this year in distances from a 2.5 miler to a 26.2 :) Also love to cook and experiment with different recipes.
  • I'm veganish....I have fish (salmon) a couple of times a month.
