I have been told that I look much younger since I lost weight. I feel like I look more youthful now than a couple years ago for sure. On my recent trip home to KC my nephew said I looked like I did in high school.... 11+ years ago

I was crazy tired ALL THE TIME until my TSH was finally under a 3. That plus working out really helps to liven me up. It can be an infuriating and a vicious cycle. Good luck.

I was diagnosed over 6 years ago and unfortunately didn't really educate myself on it. I ended up putting on quite a bit of weight. We also moved several times (due to the military) so I was constantly having to restart the entire process. About 1.5 years ago I decided enough was enough. I educated myself, got into a new…

I started running a year ago. Over the past year I ran a lot 5ks, a couple 10ks, and 3 half marathons. I will be running my first full marathon in a few weeks. I don't plan on running another full until at least October. Besides the full this year, I've registered for a few half marathons, a Ragnar Relay, and a shorter…

Oh and also, I have come in dead last in a race before. I had the police escort car breathing down my neck. I know the feeling.

I absolutely LOVE this. Running changed my life. I HATED it at first too. Absolutely HATED it. I hated it just thinking about it. Then there came a point where I surprised myself and realized I didn't hate it anymore. It's given me confidence and strength that I never imagined. Thank you for this post. This is why I run.…

I came in last before in a 5k. The police car was inches away from my bum... HA! I still felt like a rock star. You should definitely feel like one too! Cause you became a winner long before that race even started. Great job!

The phrasing confuses me. I always eat my normal allotment of calories + exercise calories. I run/bike a lot so this requires me eating a ton of food. I've lost 42 pounds and went from a size 14 to a 2-4. I need all that food to better fuel me for a great workout. Plus to help my body recover from the stress I just put it…

I have hypo and it wasn't until this past year that I was finally able to get all my levels to get within normal range. Since then I've lost 40 pounds. It took YEARS to figure out the correct dose for my body. Now I feel better than ever!

I'm at my ideal weight now also. Now it's all about getting into better shape and reaching my fitness goals. (half marathons, obstacle races, getting decent arms/shoulders) By the way, was your avi photo taken in Wilmington, NC? It looks like a photo of mine.... You can friend me if you'd like

I am amazed daily. I can't believe how I've transformed. I can't believe the image the mirror reflects...truly. I hope to continue working hard and to shape and tone my body. I'm surprised every time that I run. EVERY TIME. It's like I'm waiting for my body to revert back to how it was 6+ months ago. How are my legs…
