8-12 eight ounce glasses a day is what is normally recommended, so I think you are drinking too much water and retaining it. Try backing down on the water and see if that helps. Also, here is a good article about effects of too much water : http://chemistry.about.com/cs/5/f/blwaterintox.htm

You can do it!!! It just takes time for your body to kick in and adjust to the changes. You may have to adjust your calories for a few days and see if that makes a difference - but don't stay way under your calories, you need them. You're on the right track! I ordered the Bob Harper Power Walk DVD you can do in your living room! There are four different walks, one mile long each and each walk takes 16 minutes (exercise included).
