YOUR bachelorette anf bridal shower? I'd go all the way up to maintenance.

Beef jerky and maybe a single serving of nuts. I actually found a little veggie tray at the airport my last trip. I think it cost $7 but it was better than candy.

I think a lot of us go through this. Right now I'm much better at deciding what I like, what is healthy and attractive and not caring so much about "cultural beauty standards". I listen to my husband when he calls me attractive. On social media I follow a lot of fitness personalities that promote positive body image (a lot…

The number one problem with eating too little isn't that your body will go into "starvation mode", it's that you won't be able to stick with the diet long term. Most people will quit, rebound and eat too much, regaining anything lost and often more. There are also healthy issues if you do stick with it. I stole this from…

I don't think you are getting it. How much weight did you tell MFP you wanted to lose a week? If it was 1lb then eating 1270 is already at a 1000 calorie deficit, meaning MFP is guessing that you'd maintain your weight at 2270. Your "remaining" calories in your diary is NOT your deficit. It's what you should eat and should…

I had some hip pain when I first started running a few years ago. It was kind of more on the side, than on the front but yeah, right where my legs hit my hips. I think I started running too much too quickly (I was fit enough from biking). It took taking a few months off for it to completely go away. The next few times I've…

No you don't look "overweight" at a healthy weight. You just think you do. This is your own perception in your mind. I'd work on changing this before I'd work on getting super lean (which can be unhealthy itself). I am similarly built.

George Forman grill is an awesome idea!

I did a month with just a microwave and mini fridge previously. I actually lost weight because the work was hard and I was too tired to go out, so I ate random stuff in the hotel like pouches of tuna, carrot sticks, and microwave popcorn for dinner.

Hm. Airbnbs are 45 min to 1 hr from work site. Hotels are 30 min. Still might be worth it.

I think I'd say 0-2 are all "skinny" as is 8 (that's a REALLY lean "athletic"). I'd say 4 is "normal", I'd guess 25% body fat which is healthy for an adult woman. 5 I *might* call a little "chubby". 9, is again really lean. You can be muscular with higher body fat than that.

That's great! I've tried to convince my tween daughter to try some lifting but apparently we complain about being sore from lifting too often. She doesn't like being sore, so she doesn't want to try it.

Technically I'm still attempting to cut from a bulk I did 6 years ago. I'm not very good at it apparently.

We still have milk delivery where I live in Colorado. But in regards to the OP. CCrdragon is correct.

This is the best article I've seen on "toning". https://www.aworkoutroutine.com/muscle-tone/ But yes, nothing will specifically target inner thighs. Also, for a lot of women this is the very last place for fat storage (myself included), so it will might not go away until you hit very low body fat levels, which can be…

I aim for 2000 but don't often stay under. Maintenance for me is somewhere around 2300-2500 plus exercise.

I eat high cal/ low nutrient foods while NOT in a deficit. ::shrug::

I'd go with current. Or maybe round down a *little*, like 190. It doesn't matter much. Who even sees it?

Other people's opinions of your are none of your business. I can't comment on the differences between white and black culture (I've never been black), but my father likes to comment and tell me I'm too skinny when I'm far from it. I am the only one of his 5 children that has maintained an healthy weight their entire…

Hi. I'm doing much less biking this year than the few previously and I'm suddenly sad about it. I mostly mountain bike but have a CX that I use on roads too. My rear shock blew late last fall, and due to a layoff I couldn't afford to get it fixed until recently. Just pick up the bike yesterday and they told me there is…

When I try to get into it my pace is more of a "shuffle" and even then I walk some. I then slowly increase the duration and distance. Eventually I hope to increase speed but I've never gotten faster than a 12-13 minute mile. But I agree that 4 weeks isn't really enough time to see much progress.

For me I just usually skip breakfast. Eat at noon, stop eating before bed (which is 10-ish).

Lift lighter weights faster? You could do things like sets of 15 light squats, super-setted with 15 light bench. Then sets of 15 light straight legged deadlift, alternating with sets of 15 barbell rows. But the weight would have to be light. You could add this to the end of a regular lifting routine. Or you could just do…

Sure, sort of. I am currently on the high end of the healthy range. I probably would look sick on the low end, but that's why there's a range.

I have an excel file that lists all the meals I know how to cook easily (with recipes). When it's time to shop, I look at what's on sale, what I have coupons for and then pick some meals from my list that I haven't made for a while, make a shopping list based on these. I then eat appropriate portions of the meals I cook.

Yeah, don't worry about a long term final goal. I like the idea of the med-way goal. Go for the 220, celebrate, and decide from there. I'm 5'8.5" and my goal is 150lbs.
