  • Other than the Tee Shirt - Yankees??? REALLY??? *LOL - you look GREAT! You have literally saved your own life and now you will be around to enjoy your daughter for much more time to come. Well done!
  • As someone who had a heart issue out of nowhere last year, I strongly advise you to talk to your physician. I now wear a watch (the MIO Alpha) that can monitor my HR without the need for a chest strap. I do not think being in the 190's is safe. Please call your Dr or ask for a recommendation to a good cardiologist for…
  • I love seeing stories like yours. I so admire people who quite literally save their own life. GREAT job!!! Keep it going. And just for funny perspective, you have lost the equivalent of me 1.5 times over :-) Just astonishingly great!
  • Amazing story and results!!! As I often say in these forums, you have quite literally saved your own life and you should be tremendously justifiably proud!!!! I am not sure I would recognize you as the same person. Just astonishingly awesome!!! Happy and HEALTHY New Year!!!
  • Quite literally saving your own life!! So well done!
  • You have quite literally saved your own life! GREAT work!!! You will lead a much healthier and longer life now and you should be justifiably proud of all you have done! You look Amazing!!! Keep it going!
  • You can also buy a plastic reusable cup that you put your own coffee in. We do that and it saves us a fortune! You just have to rinse it after every use, but that is no big deal.
  • I love seeing stories like this. You are literally saving your own life!! You look great! Keep it going. I have no doubt but that you will achieve your goals. Cheers!
  • Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch!!! YUM!!!!! Ice cream is my total weakness. I also love good Vanilla or French Vanilla and I used to love Brigham's (it was a Boston thing) Chocolate Chip. In the absence of the aforementioned Heath Bar Crunch, I also like Oreo :-)
  • I have one. I don't use it anymore. Not the one with the bluetooth. If you want to return the other one, I will send you mine
  • I am with you in that I don't like sweets that much either, but that does not stop me from eating it *Thunking head on desk. And to everyone else, I agree -- I bought the full sized bars at Costco (which was a pretty good deal) and am hoping they all get taken
  • 50 lbs down is an amazing accomplishment!! Be justifiably proud! And keep it going. You are doing wonderfully!
  • Married for 23 years and have a 19 year old girl (away at college) and a 16 year old son (at home) and two beagles (who rule my house). Were it not for the hounds, I would be looking at being an empty-nester in a year and a half. Time flies! :-)
  • Looking great!! Huge difference!! And most importantly, you are literally saving your life by being healthier. KEEP IT GOING!! Happy to cheer on all of your successes!
  • Nice to find people my age on here. Please include me as well. Just turned 48 and almost did not make it as my heart stopped for a minute last year, so I am particularly glad to be still around :-) I have always been active and love playing tennis. I used to just have to think about exercising and lbs would come off, but…
  • I agree. You do need more calories. Also, given your current level of activity, you don't need more cardio, but you should start lifting. You also need to be prepared to see the scale move the wrong way, but you may look a lot better as you start adding more muscle. I don't know that much about lifting, but I have several…
  • You are, quite literally, saving your own life! Just awesome!! Keep it going. You look fantastic and I am pleased that the healthy lifestyle agrees with you so well. Cheers!
  • I only half jokingly say that I went from a 4 to an 8 or a 9 (on a 10 point scale) the day that I turned 25. The reason is that women my age stopped thinking about looks first and realized that I was a decent guy with big time earning potential (the result of going to good schools) who would treat them well, not hit them,…
  • You look GREAT and it is obvious to anyone that you have lost a LOT more than 10 lbs. One piece of advice (given your recent update), please try to stop smoking!! It will make it easier for you to run and it will free up a lot of cash for you to buy the more healthy foods. Clearly you have terrific willpower and have come…
  • You are getting great advice. d3mon4ngel's advice is particularly good. You will lose weight and then you won't, even though you are doing every right, and you cannot get discouraged. Just keep pushing and enjoy the NSV's (non scale victories - such as your clothes fitting better - when you hit the inevitable plateau). You…
  • WOW!! That is an ASTONISHING loss! Roughly 20 - 25 lbs per month? What is your goal and what are you doing to have such great success? But no matter what, keep doing it. Just AWESOME!!!
  • I love seeing forums like this one. You are literally saving your own life! Great job!! Please keep it up and then stay healthy. It is a constant fight but so worth it. Just AWESOME!!!
  • I have always thought that the clothes tell the story much more accurately than the scale. You are clearly doing an AMAZING job! I am stunned that the scale only says 14 lbs. You look so much healthier. Keep up the good work!
  • My dogs will start running in their sleep and sound like they are chasing rabbits. They are beagles, so they are obsessed with chasing rabbits and squirrels. One of the dogs MUST greet me with a present whenever I come home. She runs and grabs a stuffed animal and brings it to me. She is clearly a vicious killer in her own…
  • Hoping the Red Sox actually show up and try to play baseball this year, but not holding my breath. GO SOX!!!!
  • Just West of Boston and we have well over 2 feet and it is still snowing. The beagles would not go outside (the snow is over their heads) until we shoveled a little path for them. I have a long driveway and a broken snowblower. Gonna be a BIG burn day (or a heart attack) :-)
  • Just awesome! Way to work hard for a year! And thanks for writing something so entertaining. Well done all the way around!
  • You are AWESOME!! You look AMAZING!! But I hate that you did this because now you will get a Gazillion FR and that means that I will get less of your attention *SOBBING!!! (but nice job anyway you big meanie face you) :-)
  • Kristy - You are lucky to find this out about him now and to have him out of your life. And before I offer advice, first let me congratulate you on your transformation. You look like an entirely new person and you should be incredibly proud!!! Well done you!! So with that (and as others have said), some people are just…
  • The most impressive thing in all this is your amazing attitude. Not only have you been working to transform yourself, but you have also recovered from one of the most traumatic things a person can experience. I am truly awed! Go you!!!
