  • I don't recall this being an issue for my husband. He was able to keep liquids down, starting a few hours after his surgery. He kept a big water bottle with him at all times, and slowly sipped water throughout the day, when he wasn't drinking a protein shake or having some greek yogurt. I'd address those concerns with her…
  • Wearing it AND rocking it! Lookin' hot! *Tssssss*
  • That's awesome!! Did you start with a c25k, or just got out there and did it? Great improvements!
  • Goal: 150 6/2 - 6.9 6/5 - 6.9 Total: 13.8 Miles to go: 136.2
  • I suppose you wouldn't take fitness advice from a cat, either. But look at this guy. Primo physique. DYEA? (Do you even agility?) I was shocked at the lack of cat gifs, here.
  • The only problem with counting cups as the serving, is that unless it's a liquid, one cup may weigh differently, depending on how packed it is. For accuracy's sake, having 1 serving equal a weight (like 100g like you mentioned) would be more effective.
  • This is what I do. When creating the recipe, I weigh the entire dish, and put the entire weight in grams as the number of servings. So 1 serving = 1 gram. Just make sure that you don't click "log it" from your recipe page, because you can't type in the number of servings. You have to save the recipe, and then go to your…
  • July! Not sure if I'm going to participate, either. The good thing about camp is that you can set your own goals, though! So you can edit, or add onto a piece, if you're not up for writing a new one. Or you can write a short story, a fanfic, etc. I like that it's more laid back... but that leads to me not finishing. I need…
  • Woo, a fellow WriMo!
  • Toast or an english muffin with some avocado and an egg over-easy on top. Quinoa, vanilla greek yogurt, and fruit parfait (my favorite). Oatmeal with any number of add-ins. My favorites are chocolate chips or peanut butter. Bacon and eggs with salsa, wrapped in a whole-wheat tortilla.
  • Why did the hipster leave his oceanside mansion? It was too current. :smokin:
  • Are you tracking your foods? Weighing and measuring? Because estimates can be off by quite a lot, and more than likely the culprit to your lack of weight loss is eating more calories than you believe you are. Also, you're currently a healthy weight for your height, which is something to take into consideration.
  • You can use zucchini strips as lasagna noodles. Eggplant or cauliflower instead of pizza crust. Ummm... that's about all I've tried.
  • Ask the local Salvation Army where they convene. Or the fire department, ambulance team, or police department. You can also ask local schools to help you "adopt a family" during holidays, if they're willing to give out the information, or deliver items to the family.
  • There are several ways you can look into helping them. Check with local charities. There are several in my home city that work directly with the homeless population. Contribute to a nationally recognized organization that provides assistance for the homeless. Do something about it yourself. Several times a year, my family…
  • MUUUAHAHAHAHA, it has begun! All your base are belong to us!!
  • This. Heed this warning. A simple search gleaned the information that "cell phones are a miracle of communication." Simultaneously, cars are a giant, tin deathtrap? If one believes the hype, aren't cell phones just little cancer boxes?
  • Sounds like my kinda LAN party!
  • Perhaps next time you should consider rounding up sources from scholar.google.com. That's where you'll find peer-reviewed, valid, academically supported resources to support or debunk claims. As for links directly from google, you can find articles, blogs, and other pieces that support any claim at all. In other news, I…
  • You had me at umbrage.:love: I also love to read.
  • Oh goodness, I forgot about Civ. I haven't played in ages, but I remember it being a lot of fun. I also used to play Age of Empires, though I admittedly used cheats all the time. :embarassed:
  • Pshaw. What is a geek or a nerd? Quite simply someone who has a passion for a particular interest. One can be a beer geek or a skate geek or a baseball nerd. Or a pac man monopoly margarita nerd.
  • Not much into the zombies thing myself, but have you heard of the zombies, run! app? It's a fitness app that tells you when to speed up because you're being chased and such, from my understanding.
  • How is it pathetic to desire connection and companionship from like-minded people? It's refreshing to be among those with similar interests. Bonding over gaming, television shows, books, et. al, is no more pathetic than enjoying a beer with the guys, hanging at the skate park, or joining team sport.
  • He must have come here to die. He is a red shirt after all.
  • Why? Not nerd enough for you?
  • Get new shoes. Good ones. I daresay, even get fitted for them. When I got shin splints from running and HIIT, it was from wearing my $15, 2 year old tennis shoes from Walmart. I invested in some Nike Airs, and have had 0 problems since.
  • Check your local comic book shops. There are a few here that have ALL KINDS of tabletop gaming groups, that meet at various times during the week. Most of them are more than willing to induct a noob and show 'em the ropes. Great way to branch out, meet new people, and learn a new game.
  • This hurts my brain. What if I want seconds, or if I don't eat my entire serving of something? I'll have to weigh everything before and after, calculate the difference, and account for the percentage I actually ate. :noway:
