  • I weigh myself every day. My scale isn't probably the best one, so it doesn't always get minor changes... but I kind of like that haha. I don't see big changes from day to day, so when it actually changes I believe it. By weighing myself everyday I can always remind myself of why I am doing this.
  • I lived in New Hampshire (but just moved to Houston, BIG heat difference), and I would make sure to warm up before you head out and take it really slow at first. I would also wear one of those neck wraps (made out of sweatshirt-like) material and put it over my mouth. It was pretty loose so I never felt suffocated, but it…
  • I have minimalist shoes from Nike that have the same "barefoot" feeling but your toes don't separate. Honestly I love them, I tried the five-fingers and they weren't my favorite.
  • I give all the credit to the hat... I mean... look at it.
  • I dared to try on my size 10 jeans this morning. I had lost 30 pounds and then put 20 back on after I graduated and made a big move across the country. But I'm back on track and 20 pounds down. But today I just wanted to fit into those 10's :)
  • I loved watching Babylon 5 with my dad growing up.
  • I'm 22 and I'm trying to go from 180 to 130, so exactly 50 lbs! Right now I'm at 160.
  • I'm 5'5" and 22 years old. My highest weight was 181 pounds and my MFP starting weight was 174. I've yo-yoed a bit but most of it was from the challenges with eating in college. I'm out now and living on my own which will really give me an opportunity to get into good habits. Right now I weight 160 lbs (20 lb loss) and my…
  • Pretty much! I just graduated with my Bio major and I'm currently doing stem cell research.
  • It's so the thighs don't rub together to create chaffing.
  • I would like to lose another 5-8 pounds and bump up my average running distance from 2 miles to 3 miles. I slacked off running when I moved to Houston so hopefully it will be an easy trek back up to 3 mi.
  • Do I want one? Yes. Not really for aesthetic reasons though. I mean, if I get one at a healthy weight and it looks good, great! I really just want it so I am much more comfortable wearing dresses and shorts when it's hot out haha. My thighs are where most of my weight goes though... so I probably won't get one.
  • I use them every day in oatmeal and in omelettes. I don't think they are a solve-most-problems supplement. I think it has LOADS of awesome stuff, but I don't think they have too much affect on my appetite.
  • I put in my original starting weight (181), not my MFP starting weight (174). It was more encouraging to see the weight I had already lost, and I feel like it is a true representation of what I have done.
  • Thanks! I will definitely have to check that out!
  • I've had that problem when I try to donate double reds. If I eat a spinach salad the day before (and it can always help if you heat one the day of), or have an omelette with some cooked spinach, my iron levels skyrocket.
  • I've found that I have to eat cleanly to lose weight. I eat between 1,200-1,300 calories and if those calories come from better sources, I don't get hungry throughout the day. If I tried to fit in doritos and cookies... I would be starving haha.
  • I am so pumped for this season. I LOVE my Pats! I just moved to Houston so I'm thinking maybe second favorite?
  • I eat as soon as I wake up because I am starving! I have tried grazing and eating three big (my big is ~400 calories) a day. At the moment I am liking the three big meals - one at 7:30, one at 12:00 and the last between 5:30-6:30.
  • Sure deal!
  • Cali! Based on one of your profile pics
  • I definitely agree with you, the better I eat - the better I feel. The better I feel and look, the more I want to take care of my body. One big thing that I've noticed is that by eating clean and drinking a lot of water, my skin looks great so I really don't need makeup. I still use some bronzer and eyeliner, but I try to…
  • I really dislike when people can't put their carts away at the supermarket. They just leave them in the parking lot.
  • If I could be any enzyme, I'd be helicase so I can unzip your genes.
  • Because I have to eat so little (between 1,200 and 1,300 a day) I always pre-log. Otherwise it is way too easy for me to go over.
  • I love the omelette I've been making. It's under 300 calories but filled with protein so I'm good until lunch. 1 whole egg 4 egg whites 1 oz goat cheese As much spinach as you want to put in it Baby bella mushrooms And I have been sprinkling chia seeds into the eggs. You can't taste the difference or notice a change in…
  • I eat between 1,200-1,300 calories a day. I've tried a couple of things and this is what my body tell me I need to do in order to lose weight. I'm trying really hard to eat 40/30/30. If I focus on getting in enough protein then I don't mind eating less at all. I'm rarely hungry. When I work out I only eat back half my…
  • When I buy kale it is usually to make kale chips (I just googled a recipe and took the first one I found). They are a great substitute for regular chips for when I want something salty and crunchy.

  • This is what I did. I couldn't be full vegan because I love eggs and certain cheeses (primarily eat cottage and goat cheese). I also eat fish for the protein and for all the good fats; I eat it about twice a week. I've notice big improvements towards my overall energy levels and sleeping at night. I hit the bed and I'm…
  • I'm a hunter/jumper but I don't have much opportunity while I was in college and now when I am working before medical school. When I make money that is my priority though! I also have become certified and worked as a therapeutic riding instructor.
