I am 5'5" - you can definitely make it!

Thanks everyone! I will try and post some before and after pictures ASAP!

Almost the same three meals everyday (and snacks). I live in a college apartment and I only feed myself. I buy the same things and I can't get anything else until I eat the previous things first. Also, english muffins are staple in my diet lol.

Happens to me all the time - it's usually related to school work. I have to have another outlet, get up and DO something. If I haven't worked out yet I will do that, go to the library, or I will go to the supermarket and get whatever I need (it's close to campus). The supermarket may not work for some if they go and buy…

That's why "in moderation" doesn't work for me :(. I'm an "all or nothing" type of person, so usually I have to setting for "nothing" of something I am craving (or just want). One fry = justification for eating an entire plate.

I started running around 160's (my highest weight was 180). I ALWAYS saw the best results for weight loss when I was running (which is why I am running again!). I didn't do the couch to 5k program, but I did my own thing which worked well. Now I am up to running for 45 minutes straight during my long runs (I am 150 now).…

Hi! One thing I LOVE to do with my peanut butter is put one tablespoon in with Chobani honey (super protein snack) and it is like eating more peanut butter than you actually get to eat... so good.

In the past couple of weeks or so I have been thinking hard about whether or not I actually suffer from this. And after some serious though I realized that I do. To combat it I have been trying to dissect the emotional triggers (because when everything is normal I USUALLY don't have a problem). The two weeks leading up to…

Rattlesnake. We caught it, killed it, cooked it, ate it. Surprisingly very good.

My mom used to take me to the gym with her. A lot of gyms have a place for kids, some even have programs for them too. Most of my knowledge of weight training comes from when I was 10 and my mom enrolled me in some sort of kid's fit program at the gym. Surprisingly, I remember a lot and still use it! haha.

Yeah the weather has been pretty hot (although it has been cool at nights... finally! haha).

I tried Atkins... but it wasn't for me (not to say that it doesn't work for others). My energy levels were SO low and I felt queasy all the time. I did lose about 7 pounds, but I put it right back on. My biggest problem was that exercise was nearly impossible on this diet (for me) because even climbing a set of stairs was…

I net between 600 and 1400, and I am never particularly concerned. Yesterday I only netted 600, but I wasn't hungry anymore after dinner so I didn't bother eating. As long as you are still feeling and looking healthy, and losing weight - I think you are good to go! I am also the kind of person who cannot lose while eating…

If I know it is due to water retention I don't (or if I ate extra carbs the day before). This past week I had pasta and went over sodium so I gained 2 pounds. Two days later it was back to normal. However, I changed my ticker when I gained back 5 pounds this past spring... so sad, but it woke me up!

I am a big "crunch" addict (and I love Cheez-its too!) but I have white mountain kettle corn (I don't know if it is available outside of New England), but it's only 130 calories for 3 cups and it's pretty healthy and natural. Popcorn in general is a great alternative!

I'm taking a 2-3 day break :( After the first day of level three my knee threw a tantrum and I am giving it a little time off. But I'll get back to it! I'm still working at the barn so I am up and moving.

I am a HUGE grazer, that's how I put on all my weight. Although I wasn't always eating healthy things! What works best for me is to pre-plan a meal or snack session ahead of time. For today I have up until lunch figured out (I work in the after noons so no food). That way I know what I am allowed to eat and see how many…

Hi everyone! I'm pretty new, but I'm so pumped to be here! My starting weight is 154.5 and I've done 1,330 calories burned for this week so far. It really helps working at a barn where I get to ride on top of my regular workouts! I am holding a bit of water weight due to sodium, the scale said 155.9 yesterday but it was…

Day 21 Level 3 (first day). So I don't like anything to do with jumping and squatting when they are put together haha! Although my arms weren't as tired as they were in level 2, my body felt more tired.

I would love to! I only need to lose four more pounds to be in the "healthy" BMI range. So excited! I also really want to be 150 when I go back to college this fall.

Day 20 Level 2 done... on to level 3 tomorrow! SO pumped, I will probably take a look at the 3rd level tonight to see what I am in for tomorrow. I hear that level 3 is a lot of people's favorite. I think I liked level 1 more than level 2, although both make me sweat buckets. I just don't like planks haha... but they are so…

Did Day 19 Level 2 today - which should have been day 20. Yesterday I was so physically exhausted from working at the barn that I thought a break was necessary and I didn't feel guilty one bit! Plus I got right back on the JM horse today. Today was also the first time I did the 30 DS with shoes, and it was SOOO much…

So sad :( I wasn't able to do it yesterday. However, I don't feel too guilty... we have company and I've been exhausted working at the barn. I have my MFP settings for "lightly active", but this summer I am at the barn for 3-6 hours a day working non stop. And my body was begging me for a break. I still rode yesterday and…

Day 9 of Level 2 today! Haven't done it yet, I might have to do it after work (normally I would do it this morning). It's funny, because in the mornings I'm also studying for my MCATs (the exam you need to take to get into medical school), and I can never tell which I dread more... JM beating me up or studying…

I think it depends on the person you tell. I have NO luck with my roommates, they always think I am ridiculous for trying to lose weight. But I told my mom last year and she joined me... and she has lost 82 pounds! She and I support each other really well.

Woah man, Day 8 Level 2 done. But WOW I really was so unmotivated today! Haha, I've had some hard days working at the barn so I think I am stating to feel that too. But I did it anyway - so proud!

SUPing is so much fun! It gives your arms a great workout, but your core works really hard too (especially if you are on the ocean... more stabilization is required). It's really relaxing, and fun to to with others! Where I live I have to either go on a 'tour' with my local surf shop or trade off with my cousin (she bought…

This all depends on your body. For some people, you need to net higher, for others, that would be fine. Personally, I net lower like that and I lose weight. I feel healthy, I've been doing strength training and getting my protein in, and I eat when I am hungry. I also eat pretty clean, so I can eat loads of fruit and…

Hi! So I've found that breaking plateaus are all about what works for YOUR body. Everyone will be able to give you really good tips, and all of them can potentially help. My personal thing was that no matter how much exercise I do, I still need to eat between 1,200 and 1,400 calories a day in order to lose. I don't know…

Day 17 Level 2 will be done in about... 40 minutes haha. I had to get up earlier than normal for work today so I had to save the 30DS until I got home. I won't be happy tomorrow morning when I have to do it when I wake up... but that's okay! Yeah, the v-raises and military presses I have to switch to 1.5 pound weights…
