I think it won't work quite as effectively if you're not doing it daily but it's YOUR body, your workout and YOUR choice. So there's no 'allowed or not allowed' involvd. :) And I think when she says it'll get easier, she means the pain'll eventually get so bad you'll numb out! HAHAHAHAHA

Habit is 100% key. At first waking up at 7AM so I could do my workout was BRUTAL. I would lay in bed hitting the snooze for twenty minutes BUT I did eventually get out of bed around 7:30 and I'd get RIGHT into the workout (which can be good or bad depending). The key to getting out those first few weeks is just to push…

I just read an article the other day that said exercises like crunches and the like are extremely bad for your spine and they also encouraged switching to plank like holds. I'm tempted to suggest the same. I know when I do crunches my neck KILLS me and I know I'm doing something wrong but even with a trainer there to guide…

Ladeejulz - I agree with you 100% That was BRUTALLY hard. Nothing easy about it at all. I thought 'level one! it'll be a gentler workout and easy'. HAHAHAHA. hardly. I barely made it through and did most of the moves even smaller then the 'easy' girl. You can do this tomorrow because I can do this tomorrow. We'll do it…

Oatmeal! With eggs. And a piece of fruit and/or fruit juice (100% fruit not the stuff with added sugar/glucose).

I'll join up! I really want to do this but figure I need a bit of help. ): I tend to run out of energy really quick if someone isn't urging me along. Anyway, I'll do the 30 minutes when I get home from work (12 hour shifts are hell but I think I can get a workout in after if I push myself).

There are more! I think they just didn't notice this post or don't care to comment. Haha. As for me, I haven't reached my GOAL weight but I lost 39 pounds last year and have kept it off for a year.

I think sometimes you can lose more than 2 in a week but it's not actually a 'week' that you've lost it in. That sounds confusing... but let me explain. This week I lost 3.5 pounds, supposedly. I'm not at a point where that kind of loss is possible BUT the week before I was desperately sick and bloated. So I think I lost…

Hee, that's how I feel 80% of the time around here, in all honesty.

Honestly Hummus can be found ANYWHERE in a grocery store. Our store has it tucked away in the 'health food' aisle which is NO WHERE near the deli or vegetable sections. No one can ever find it so we're constantly giving customers guided tours to the hummus. Haha.

Everyone got upset because your opinion was not asked for and was completely off topic to the subject. Next time send her a private message if you're so concerned instead of making her into a public spectacle.

Honestly that surprised me! I never gave much thought to WHY Raisin Bran tastes good! Haha. When I was growing up that was a 'healthy' cereal so us kids never touched it but as an adult I decided to give it a try since I need more bran. Whoops! Guess it's time to find a new favorite.

I think; ah crap! Because I was doing the same thing. No wonder it was so hard! HAHA.

Around 400 everyday, sometimes a wee bit more. I find it I eat less I'm starving within two hours. Haha. It's kind of strange but probably due to not eating a couple of hours before bed.

I think the best thing to do is consult your doctor. Everyone is going to be different. I know a lady who wratched her knees just WALKING. She was walking two hours a day and lost some weight but not before she messed up her knees and joints so it's really best to consult with a professional who can give you tips on what…

My internal body clock won't let me sleep in either. everyday without fail I am awake at 7:30 and sometimes a few minutes before (I no longer wake up to my alarm clock except if I'm ill and my body is attempting to keep me out longer). I'm not sure if it's an exercise thing or not but I wouldn't fight it. :) The only thing…

Get a tattoo ... or piercing. I haven't made the final decision yet. :) This is something I would have done with the weight anyway but I have decided to let it be my reward when I reach my goal.

I'm not a homeschooling mom but I was a homeschooled child and kudos to you. In my case homeschooling wasn't a good thing for me but I'm not convinced school would have been any better. BUT homeschooling can be very good! Especially in the American and Canadian society.

I'm aiming for 150 too! I have quite a bit more ways to go then you (currently 192ish) but I know I can do this.

What a petty little thing to get annoyed about. :\

I don't track vegetables actually. Never have. I track fruits though. Everything else I log...

I've never tried to lose weight before but a family member went on the syrup diet. Basically you can have a tablespoon of maple syrup, three times a day with cayenne pepper, and water... and that's it. She was diabetic too. :\ But she was convinced it improved her health... only it didn't and everyone could see that but…

I just wanted to weigh in. My roommate weighs 100 pounds more then me. When we work out together she burns 1000 calories on the elliptical in an hour and I burn 400 doing the exact same intensity workout. It's kind of crazy and honestly at first it annoyed me (especially since I'd be sweating buckets and she'd barely break…

No. Week one, Day one of the Couch to 5k schedule is 5 minutes walking and then alternating 1 minute jogs and 1 1/2 minute walks for 20 minutes followed by a 5 minute cooldown walk.

"i think eating those extra cals is a giant mistake. not to mention mfp already takes this into account. if i am walking an extra five minutes from class to class, i don't eat an extra to account for that..." For you it might be, for her it could be... for me it wasn't. I lost consistently despite doing so. :)

We don't all stand around all day actually. I have a desk job. I sit all day at work. My life is sedentary for the most part. I have taken my heart rate monitor in to work to see the difference between my normal job and my part time job (I listed myself as sedentary because the bulk of my day is spent sitting at a desk,…

Your iron levels could be low. Of course see your doctor and maybe see if he can check your iron levels. :)

Anyone in Alberta, Canada looking to start this? I could use a new running partner! HAHAHAHAHA. Actually I have two running partners and we're plodding away at this program slowly but surely. I used to run alone and actually that was kind of great (it was a rare moment I had completely to myself) but I find if I run with…

I'll give it a look. :) Thanks.

If not for those mountain climbers I would have called it fun too but I've tried those before and they ALWAYS kick my rear. Still... I might have to give this one a try!
