  • I weighed 200 when I started C25k last year and I was around 197 when I started this year. It's a great program and as long as you do it at your own pace it's totally doable!
  • Yikes. This thread made my head hurt. Heh. P Jilly - this is off topic but you look amazing.
  • I think I'm the minority. The same music/comments don't bother me, it kind of helps me in a weird way because I know EXACTLY where I am and exactly how much is left just by the silly little comments she's making. I do feel a little bit stronger but I have to admit I haven't seen any changes yet. It's only Day 9 but...…
  • I'd love to see some before and after 30DS threads! HAHA. Pictures and/or just inches lost lbs lost type deal. Maybe I'll do that myself? Hmmmm... except I have no before picture! Haha.
  • I'm allergic to nuts. :) But other then that thanks for the suggestions. It's still not for me at this point in my life.
  • Unfortunately with my lifestyle I have no choice but to workout in the evening. I have tried working out in the morning but this made me very VERY sick. ): Several weeks back I posted to MFP asking some opinions and one of the things people stressed was that I needed to start eating before I worked out... they were right,…
  • I've tried the Eat-Clean Diet at the suggestion of my doctor and let me tell you it is HARD to get used to, especially if you're one of those people who is on the go a LOT and who has never cooked in their life (I really, REALLY hate cooking). I managed to follow the Eat-Clean Diet one week only. :\ I felt pretty crappy at…
  • I haven't worked out today but I will be running and dancing tonight. :) Joined a ballet class and tonight is the first night! I'm stoked!
  • It's quite likely my friend got the information mixed up because what you just explained sounds reasonable! :) Thank you! I love knowing the science behind simple little things and I'm lousy at googling. I know that sounds silly but I really am! HAHA.
  • The problem with overthinking is that it leads to overthoughts. She may just be in denial. She might honestly believe the things she's saying. I wouldn't be upset over it BUT I wouldn't let her version of reality color your choices. The reality is that you are not happy where you are, so focus on what's going to make you…
  • No shredding for me today. I'm running tonight AND I have ballet class (my first ballet class ever!). I thought with all of that exercise going on I should probably forgo the shred. One day off won't ruin everything... right? For the most part the aching and soreness is fading, which makes me think I'll be totally ready…
  • BLASTED GIRLY HORMONES! They are always trying to make my life miserable. :( Haha. I almost miss my blubber! I've never been so cold in my life! Someone should help me buy some sweaters or something! The big joke around the office is becoming me and my jacket, because I rarely take it off (except when I'm hungry and hot.…
  • I say keep the weigh in day the same! This isn't about 'tricking' yourself or denying yourself bad days, this is about being honest at all times! So keep the weigh in day on Weds and face the music. :)
  • I'd say do week 1 for the second batch of 10 days then week 3 for the last batch? That'll change things up. :) And my understanding was it's 30 days straight, not 6 day spurts. :)
  • I'm on week two and I've never really experienced any pain in my shins or anywhere else. Are you wearing proper running shoes? Are you landing on your heel or your toe? Maybe something somewhere is a little bit off in your stride and this shin pain is a warning to adjust accordingly! I don't know but it's something to…
  • Well, I've decided to finally give Week 3 a shot, starting this Thursday. :) Thanks for the encouragement! I"ll let you all know how it goes!
  • This one kind of made me smile because I've decided to quit dating too. Right now I am focused on me and helping me. Dating is just too much hassle, too much work and too much investment away from cleaning up and clearing out me. It's pretty selfish but maybe it's not? Anyway our reasons for quitting are slightly different…
  • I think the overeating happens because a person is less distracted on the weekends. Or at least that's my theory! I can eat JUST FINE when i'm working but as soon as I have a day off I eat like CRAP. I really DO think it's because work leads to distraction and non-easy access to food. Maybe the key is to find suitable…
  • Still expericing the weird not quite muscle ache pains but WHATEVS. :) Pushing through. Slept in today (kinda) so am working out tonight! It's weird, because this is only the seventh... or sixth??? day but I'm already planning on 'what do I do after'... Being toned has always been a fantasy of mine... maybe I can make it…
  • I'm super tired today guys but I'm getting through it. I have a strange sharp pain in my lower thighs... not sure what's up with that but it doesn't feel like muscle pain, it's too sharp. ): It's been dogging me all day. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on it. Day 6 done! Whoot! 24 to go.
  • Good news... I got my wireless internet working which means I can log on during the weekend more easily. :) Finished Day 5's workout. I feel kind of tired BUT I am getting stronger. That's pretty encouraging. :) Anyone else feeling stronger already? I was actually surprised that after just five days I'm improving!
  • What about countries where there is NOT this system in place and yet the food prices are still low and the restaurant is still open ridiculous hours? There really is no excuse for such a system. I wonder what it would take to change things? Except AFTER tips these servers are making REALLY good money and most probably…
  • That is one seriously messed up system. It's really blowing my mind. ):
  • What's good for the goose is good for the gander! Give it a shot!
  • Why is the customer required to pay the bartender's wage? Does the customer own the bar???
  • Is this an American site? Strangely enough the only PLU it recognizes (I'm a cashier at a food store - I know the PLUs for pretty much every vegetable/fruit we carry heh) is 4011! Good old bananas! HAHA Edit: Ah! It was formed in the UK. :)
  • Fair enough. :) I'm curious to see what the long term effects on the human body is going to be myself. But I probably won't be around by the time the real damage settles in.
  • In response to what to do if you're not hungry and have exercise calories left over... I usually grab powerade during/after my workout. ): Heh. Weird, I know, but for some reason it always makes me feel good and is around 260 calories if I drink the whole thing so covers some of the exercise calories. You can also try some…
  • The mice thing actually made me snicker when I read it this morning but I do believe it's legit. Some pretty weird stuff goes on in the food industry... I agree with growing our own veggies! Here's to self-sufficiency!
  • They both are about genetics! You're right Arielle... The genetic manipulation they're doing to your 'healthy' vegetables most notably. How much is true... I don't know? But I think it's something that's interesting! I have no way of knowing if the first one is correct. I can say it's from a Canadian based paper. :)
