I have drank throughout my weight loss. If it has hindered my weight loss at all, I certainly haven't noticed. Working it into calories is all I do. Though I do tend to choose the lowest calorie options drink-wise, and save higher calorie drinks like beer and wine for special occasions.

I highly suggest going to a running store, as another poster mentioned. That's the only way to get shoes right for YOU! I ended up with a pair of Brooks. Love them. Made all the difference in the world!

5'6", 30 years old. 133-136 in the last week Bust: 36 (this is the only one I'm semi unsure of since last I measured, may be smaller now) Waist: 27.5 Hips: 34.5 I'm definitely straight shaped, coming from being an apple when I was overweight. All the extra lbs I have left are in my tummy. I'd like to lose about an inch and…

Aside from suggesting you seek professional help, like perhaps a dietitian?? Dr?? The only other advice I can think of is eating on a schedule so you don't have this mound of food to consume at the end of the day. If you don't like to eat a lot at once, try to eat more calorie dense food (nuts, nut butters, add some oil to…

I think that's where it becomes important that, along the way, any and all other issues are addressed. Ya, it's HARD mentally! It's a process. BUT I'd rather be healthy, and fit, and still struggle with confidence issues, than obese and struggle with confidence issues. That's a work in progress, but I'm miles ahead of…

I really love RunKeeper!

Just started lifting seriously 9 weeks ago, some of these lifts I've never done before, so form is something I'm incredibly serious about; don't want get injured, plus of course I want everything out of the exercise I'm supposed to get. 30 years old, 5'6", maintaining ~140 I typically do 5 sets, 3-5 reps Deadlift 135 Squat…

Best thread ever. Thank you all! I didn't know the Friday before spring break could get any better, but it did. Oh how it did!

The arm pit shaving DOES suck, I definitely agree with that. Though the leg shaving is so much faster and easier. My newest ones are: Pull ups!!! (the exercise not the diapers) I'm about halfway to one, LOL! Though I suppose that has more to do with being stronger rather than thinner. Be firm enough all over to give up the…

How long are we talking about here? Without knowing more details my best guess would be that if you just keep doing what you're doing the scale will reflect the fat loss you are already visibly seeing. You see a difference in your body yet not the scale, which IMO is much better than seeing a drop on the scale yet no…

How much are you eating? You could very well just need some extra food!

You will drive yourself insane at this rate. 15 days in!? You seriously have to give it time. I realize that is not what you want to hear, but it's just the truth. If your calories are accurate, the scale will move. I have had PLENTY of weeks (sometimes several weeks) where the scale hasn't moved at all, or gone up, for no…

The amount of time it takes you to get to your destination doesn't matter at all. You cannot fail if you don't give up! Just keep at it! 10 pounds is a heck of a lot better than 0 pounds! And imagine all of the people who have gained weight in the past 2 years!

I started out this journey at 236 pounds, and that was after a pretty massive regain! In 2006 I went from 193 to 142. Then I gained it ALL back and then had my 2 kids. Needless to say that packed on even more. My son's 1st birthday is the 20th of this month, which will be the anniversary of my highest weight of 236 pounds.…

Wow wow wow. Thanks everyone! It's so wonderful to be able to share successes with so many people I think the main things that have changed are my confidence and my overall fitness! I really do like working out and it's amazing how much more I can do 80+ pounds lighter! I would definitely not say I tried to stay at 1200…

I'd consid 4am morning since that's when I typically get up, and I usually eat breakfast not that long after because I'm hungry from not eating since the evening before. Makes sense to me. There's no such thing as a safe time to stop eating -- it's a personal preference. I hate eating past 4pm, but that's just me. Just…

Dry skin brushing! Google it, it is amazing! I've been doing it for a little over 3 months now and have seen a marked improvement not only in stretch marks but also with spider veins, cellulite, and just the overall health and appearance of my skin! The brushes themselves are relitively inexpensive too! Obviously there's…

You just have to let it go. You can't want it for him unfortunately. Losing weight is a very personal thing, if he isn't ready he isn't ready. Sounds like you are a good friend and have his best interest at heart, but there's no much you can do.

I'm sorry you are feeling so down! It is not a fun place to be! When I started I had 100 lbs to lose, and honestly I didn't think I'd ever be where I am today. It really is just one day at a time. I couldn't focus on the 100, I focused on 10 at a time. Now, diet soda isn't the best, but it's baby steps, so could you switch…

I had my 2nd baby just the past December (my first May of '09). I was overweight when I became pregnant too. My highest weight, pregnant, was 236 pounds. My son turns 10 months old in 4 days and today I weigh 151 pounds. Unless you have some sort of medical condition, you ARE the type to lose weight. Anyone can lose…

It's not a special pill, brand, or program, it's ephedrine and caffeine - research if you are interested in all of the data. And as I mentioned I take it mainly for the energy and hunger blunting effects. OP asked a question, I answered it. I'm good on advice, thanks!
-
Ya, I mean I know the thermogenic effect can't be that much really. It also really kills your appetite for the first week or so. That's why I don't take it long term, all the energy and hunger blunting effects fade away the longer you take it.

Water if I'm going low cal. Plain chobani or fage yogurt if I'm trying to maximize protein.

I have taken, and from time to time still take, the E/C stack. ETA: It does nothing if you don't have your diet in order.

@KTweld - I'm in a size 10 right now, though they are starting to get big. Thanks again everyone!!!!
