  • I won't be at home for the weekend, so I had to do my runs on both Monday and Tuesday although they say to have a day of rest in between runs. I think it wasn't bad though, since I did my first jog on Monday morning and then late on Tuesday evening. I'll be finishing my 3rd week tomorrow evening. Does anyone have any idea…
  • I recommend you to search for the Couch to 5 K topic here, it is somewhere.. just commented on it last night I think  I've just started my week 3 yesterday and so far the program has been amazing, I really like it. Oh, and you can find podcasts for it online.. First week I did with Robert Ullrey's, 2nd was some…
  • Week 3 reached! This morning I started my 3rd week of the program  The podcast that I mentioned earlier is awesome really. How's everyone else doing?
  • I was just checking out some HRM's, and now thinking about getting a Polar F4 or F7, or then Suunto T1C or some other Suunto one. My cousin works at Suunto so I guess I should ask her about the Suunto ones and if she could get me one with some sort of discount
  • I usually have my Cereal with some low-fat yoghurt, that spices it up a bit  Currently my fave cereals are Rainbow Kauratyynyt (Google them if you wanna, great cereals made of oat) and my fave yoghurt to go with that is banana. Sometimes I have my cereal with milk and some fruit or berries, that's delicious as well.…
  • I'll start week 2 tomorrow morning! I'm changing the podcast from Robert Ullrey's to a Christian Indie thingy. Let's see how that works  I also downloaded a new podcast for week 3, I'm actually checking it out right now and I want to get to week 3 so bad! This podcast is awesome, love it  It's from…
  • I am on my first week on the program as well  I logged my first run as 8 min running slowly and the rest as walking at 3.5 mph pace. I suppose that's a bit underestimating, but I think it's better to underestimate the calories burned when exercising than overestimating them.
  • I'll be doing my 2nd run of week 1 tomorrow. I did my first one on Monday, that was all good. I used to do my walks in the mornings before I go to work, and now I run before going to work. That way I can also do a 8 min abs program after the run (found it on Youtube, seems good!). I guess I'll save one run for the weekend,…
  • I just saw Zumba on TV today and was all "whoa, that looks awesome!". So, I did some research around and am now getting myself a Zumba DVD. We'll see how that'll be

  • I just downloaded a podcast for the first week of the C25K. I think I'll be doing my first run tomorrow morning before going to work :) I wasn't able to download the podcast without any music for some reason but I did get the one with music. I'm not a big fan of techno but I guess I'll just have to deal with it
  • I think I want to try this out! This seems way better than the Couch I found on Adidas site.. it was for beginners as well and the first jog there was 10 minutes!! :noway: I mean.. I guess Adidas beginners are way fitter than "normal" beginners, haha.. Anyway, it'd be fun to have this on my MP3 player as well. I couldn't…
  • Great to see new people around! Welcome :flowerforyou: I've been a member for about a month or so, and this site is so great. Easy to use, yet so motivating  Have fun releasing the inner you, you deserve it!
  • The dish with ground beef that I like the most is Macaroni Casserole. You just cook some macaroni, brown the ground beef with some chopped onion and combine these all in an oven dish. Then you pour on it some warm milk with egg added in it (2 eggs + 3 desilitres/about one cup milk) or some beef tea (just some liquid in…
  • What a thing to say! This definitely made me smile  Thanks for writing all this.. see, there were lots of us who needed it
  • Umh, I have no idea really.. but I do have a suggestion! Perhaps the berries become smaller in size when freezed? Like (just an example, not accurate information), if you freeze 100 g blackberries, that makes 70 g frozen blackberries. Just a suggestion, do correct me if I'm all lost
  • I'm around your age, too  I'm 18 and from Finland. I'm about to graduate.. next Saturday will be THE day! I'm so excited already  I've been a member of this site for some weeks now and I do like it here. It seems like our goals are pretty much the same. If you ever feel like talking, do drop me a line or two…
  • Sounds good! I'm no longer a student myself, I'll graduate 30th May and then I will have a year off. However, I will probably apply to university in 2010 so.. you can as well count me in
  • You do have a point there, Kelynn! Haha, actually, this made me feel better about my upcoming graduation day.. we're gonna celebrate it with family and friends, and that of course includes lots of good stuff  But I'm gonna graduate only once, so.. I won't think about cals that day!
  • I can't really call myself a biker but I do ride bike rather often  I cycle everyday to work and back which makes about 13 km per day. Then I usually do 15 km at weekend and some 6 extra km during week when going to exercise at a school near here and back. But anyway, cycling is a good way to get from place A to B…
  • What a timing to read this topic.. I just clicked to see how much sugar I was having (in my food diary on here), and.. it was scary! I'm having so much more sugar than I should. I'm ok with cals, lacking a bit of protein and carbs (but lacking carbs is not a big deal really..) and fat, and getting too much of calcium…
  • Hey hey, welcome :) I joined yesterday, and I'm already liking it here  It's easy to use the food diary and exercise log and so on, so I hope it'll pay off in the end  My goals are pretty much the same as yours: I'm not trying to really lose weight, I just want to tone myself up and look better. If I lose some…

  • I usually have rye bread (a Finnish brand called REAL, or Reissumies, or something similar to those - about 80 kcal /slice) with cheese and paprika, or some ham and cottage cheese or something like that. With that I drink a cup of skim milk. That makes about 200 kcal, depending on what I have on the bread. Some other days…

  • Thanks for all of your messages  I just had a banana, so yea, I'll try to replace all the unhealthy yummy things with fruits and so on. Strawberries are my favorites, too bad it's not summer yet.. can't wait to get some strawberries  Hmm, I think that if I put my chocolate in the freezer, my brother will…
  • Hey all, I'm new here, found this site today and I'm already thrilled about it  It seems like here I'll be able to count my calories and watch the progress easily. I'm from Northern Europe, Finland, and I guess that might cause me some trouble with the food database, but Google is my best friend and I'll try my best…
