I have lost 25 lbs with a combo of heavy weight lifting 4-5 days a week and adding some HIIT cardio (15-20 mins) 2-3 days a week. For me, the lifting is essential - there were weeks I would skip the cardio, and still I would drop weight and inches.

Weights! Specifically, leg day. And if I must do cardio, I enjoy HIIT more so than any other form.

Chicken breasts, hands down. So dry and flavorless. I have a hard time chewing it without gagging. Also lettuce, tomatoes, cottage cheese and plain, low fat Greek yogurt.

Is it too late to join? Halloween is my favorite holiday. And my goal is to wear my dream costume this year - Slave Leia. Even if I only wear it in the privacy of my own home. LOL Current Weight: 140 lbs Goal Weight: 125 lbs I weigh in on Sundays.

Thank you! I'll have to check these out.

I like to use ground turkey to make some meals - turkey/black bean/veggie chili; turkey burger patties with baked sweet potato fries; ground turkey and sweet potato hash. Those are some of my favorites.

Old Navy are really good quality for a decent price! I would definitely recommend getting some bottoms there. But I do have some Lulus I adore, and Fabletics has been pretty awesome too. ;)

I got serious about my weight loss at the beginning of this year after being horrified by a picture I saw of myself that should have otherwise been a joyous moment. At barely 5 feet tall, I started at 167.5 lbs; now I am down to 140 lbs. I have about 15 more to go to get to my goal weight. It's coming off much slower now,…

Thanks, everyone! I do have a small frame, so I didn't think it would be too unreasonable. I also wonder too if people don't realize how much I really do weigh. My weight is distributed pretty evenly and I am decently proportioned.

Thanks everyone - although I am not sure how much this clears it up for me. So it appears there are 4 servings in that one large bowl and one of those servings has the 350 calories? Jessica, thanks for the info about the sodium; however, I already ate the salad and just wasn't sure how to calculate it. I'll keep it in mind…

My mom has this and she was told to stick to a lowfat diet and, as the PP said, cut out alcohol.

I finished the program about a month ago - I lost plenty of inches and body fat but gained some really nice muscles. Keep it up - it'a an enjoyable program to follow and I love how motivating Chalene is. The Push Phase was my favorite by far - and, call me crazy, I enjoyed the Burn Intervals. They were tough but…

My summer scent is The Beat by Burberry. But hubby is also a fan of VS Pink.

It seems like everyone is doing well - moving right along! Awesome job guys! And welcome to those who recently took up this challenge. Good luck to you! I have continued to log ALL my food and exercise. I slipped up in the eating department a couple of days there but I am back on track. I am still doing well…

My favorites are Slim in 6, ChaLEAN Extreme and Insanity - all by Beachbody. I also have a bunch of old Kathy Smith workouts that I love - kind of like oldies but goodies...

2 corn tortillas 1/2 c reduced fat cheddar jack 1/2 c fat-free refried beans 2 green onions chopped 1 small tomato chopped 4 large black olives sliced olive oil Brush tortillas lightly with olive oil (use no more than a tsp or 2 total). Cut each tortilla into 6-8 triangles. Lay them on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven…

I have 3 little ones - 17 months, 3 years and 6 years. I work full time, come home and cook dinner, help with homework and then bathe the kids. No time for the gym. After I put my youngest to bed, I have my two older kids either join me in my workout or have them color or read in the same room I am in. I try and stick to…

That's an awful lot left over - how many have you taken in? A couple tbsps of peanut butter on two slices of wheat toast and a banana will add in some calories. Add a glass of skim milk and that'll bring you up a bit - by about 500 calories.
-
Yay for you! I am sure they are all awesome. I look forward to seeing the pics. :)

I personally think you're lucky. But they do say the grass is always greener... I say you can still wear a sundress. Just make sure you have on a well-fitting, supportive bra and a neckline that flatters your shape rather than draws attention to it. Look for thicker straps and a v-neck (not too low) to lengthen…

Tell yourself you only have to do five to ten minutes of your usual routine. Most likely, once you get started you'll just continue on and do the entire thing. :) Good luck!

Congrats! Yay for you! I don't own a scale either (although I do sometimes weigh myself at my parent's house) and judge my transformation by what I se in the mirror and how my clothes fit. I think that is a much better indicator of progress.

I actually found that while I was nursing (I nursed all three of my boys) I was way hungrier than when I was pregnant. I think maybe you should try and get in those extra calories - try adding an extra 100 in at a time. See what happens. If you find that you are gaining even more weight or are having to force yourself to…

Check out some of the pinned messages under the General Diet and Weight Loss Help. There is an answer for this. Basically what MFP does is already calculate in a calorie deficit for you. Let's say (and I am using random numbers) your body needs 1700 calories a day just to sustain itself. MFP sets your calorie goals at a…

I purchased P90X a few years ago, did one of the DVDs, decided it was too difficult and time-consuming, and then it sat there collecting dust for months on end. I finally sold it on eBay. Flash forward to present day - I re-ordered the program a few months back and it is still sitting on the shelf waiting to be used...but…

I forgot to put "lean" in on my post. Thanks!

Seasoning them yourself is really easy - and cheap! I also use this "taco" meat for burritos and taco salad. And I also think the whole hard/soft shell tacos is a preference thing. The hard shells do tend to have more fat - but all in all they aren't horrible for you as long as you pick the right ones (some have upwards of…

I completed CLX about 2 weeks ago. I had tried to do a hybrid of CLX and Insanity and was doing well adding 5 Insanity workouts to the CLX program (I substituted an Insanity workout for Burn It Off and did one each weight-lifting day plus one on one of the rest days). Unfortunately I only keep it up for about three weeks…

Hmmmm...I guess I am thinking in terms of homade ones - not store bought. Tacos are a staple in my family too!
