  • We used to use the sarah lee pound cake but otherwise we used to do them the exact same way! Cool whip and sugared strawberries!
  • I went on a run with my best friend who has ALWAYS been much thinner and much more in shape than me. We ran two miles just chatting and catching up and not only was i not super winded at the end of it but SHE was the one that said she wanted to stop and walk the rest of the way. I never in my life would have thought that…
  • wow, you look like you lost about 15 years too! You look amazing! How long did it take you to lose the weight?
  • Lol listen i didn't realize that some people make cinnamon toast differently! I always grew up with make the toast first then butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. BUT my husband grew up with buttering the bread and sprinkling the cinnamon and sugar on before you put it in a toaster! BLEW MY MIND!!!
  • oh my starts personal pan pizzas from pizza hut were the JAM!!! I STILL love pizza hut pan pizza even though it gives me the worst stomach ache!
  • I have an apple watch and i LOVE it! I've been using it for a few years now and i love it for my exercise and health journey. If you have an apple phone i personally think its the best option! Get one that has GPS and you'll likely never need anything else. I feel like it's pretty darn accurate and it just works so…
  • Welcome back, also you didn't fail, you just took a bit of time off and now you're ready to get back at it again in full force. For me, I realized that I'll probably have to track for a LONG time (at least a year or two) because it's one of the only things that keeps me really accountable. I still slip up occasionally but…
  • Slower weight loss is more sustainable yes but I also think that a 1200 calorie diet isn't totally crazy depending on what your current BMI is. I lost over 30 pounds eating a 1200 calorie diet and only doing moderate exercise. There are tons of typical diets for 1200 calories available online but the biggest takeaway will…
  • That sounds amazing, and I love the name of your food! Cheese dreams!
  • ooooh and Hawaiian style fried rice.
  • I made a chicken adobo in my instant pot recently that was awesome! Really low carb but delicious. I eat it over shredded cabbage and white rice but you could sub for cauliflower rice and really cut the carbs down! https://www.savorytooth.com/instant-pot-chicken-adobo/
  • I’m a little shorter (5’ 3”) but I started at 179 and right now I’m sitting around 145 I want to lose another 10. It took me about 4 months.
  • Whooo hoo great job! Killing it!!
  • i have one when i'm craving something other than water. I can't stand bubbly waters so i go for a diet coke as a treat every once in a while. Doesn't seem to make me crave more sugar but I also don't go crazy, maybe only 3 cans a week?

  • Me me!!! I've got a 4 year old and a 1 year old! i need more friends on here!
  • You look incredible and so happy!!! Congratulations! Youre doing amazing!!!
  • I mean I wish it had happened sooner for sure... I’m almost 33 and have been battling my weight and have had issues with food since I was 8 or 9 years old. I love everything you said though, weight loss is a gift all the rest is what really matters.
  • Run in the rain!!! I've also done a pretty steep hike with a 20 lb kid strapped to me the whole way and not only did we make the hike i carried her the entire way.
  • I have the same thing for breakfast almost every day. I never used to eat breakfast so by the time lunch rolled around i was RAVENOUS. Started eating breakfast of oatmeal every day and not only do i eat a more sensible lunch but i feel more centered and focused in the morning. Also agree with pre-logging things if you know…
  • This is a great way to think about all the changes and create counterpoints to the negative self talk.
  • I think that i'm going to have to log for a LONG time in order to retrain my brain also, my goal is to log for a full year even if i've reached my goal weight before then. Emotions are so strongly tied to my eating as well.
  • I'm trying REALLY hard not to use negative self talk. It's so hard! it's always always been my go to for motivation to lose weight. When I got pregnant with my first I was also at my slimmest and gained like 70 pounds (too much for my 5'3 frame) and 4 years and another baby later I'm still trying to take that weight off…
  • This is very insightful. For me personally, I'm still in the overweight category, my goal is to be firmly in the "normal" range for my BMI which is really only 10-15 pounds away because I'm short. Losing another 10-15 pounds is definitely achievable and healthy but I've never been that weight as an adult and getting to…
  • Agreed about all of the above. I made my goal to log in every single day for a year at least. Even if i go over, even if i have a really hard day i log it and i log it honestly. Knowing this and really committing to this has been the one thing that I hope will lead to me really being successful. I'm attempting to retrain…
  • I ran 3 miles in under 30 mins! When i first started running i could barely manage 2 miles at a 14 min/mile pace! Doing 3 miles at a 10 min mile pace was FAST for me!
  • You look incredible!! Good job!!
  • Can i be friends with all of you?!??! I'm 5' 3" SW: 179 CW: 152 GW: 135-140 I'm on the shorter side but otherwise relatively close in goals!
  • i have oatmeal almost everyday. I'm usually in a big rush in the mornings so i go for the packaged stuff but the one i buy is actually steel cut and has quite a bit less sugar than the quaker stuff. I LOVE it! Keeps me full for a few hours at least and its pretty dang low calorie. On the weekends my go-to is a piece of…
  • Recently restarted my journey as well! I'm 32 and I have a stress/emotional eating habit that I'm trying to manage through! I started out at 177 and am currently sitting at 155 aiming to lose another 15 or so. Add me!!
  • Great job!!! I have lost a similar amount of weight however I am MUCH shorter than you so I still have a way to go before i hit my goal! Great job on making better choices financially and for your health!
