  • Good morning all-first time on this board and Im gutted to be here. I was "successful" back in 2019 with dropping 40 lbs and then the pandemic happened and i let it all slip away. It slipped slowly at first but now I'm back up to my starting weight. BIG SIGH. I've lost and gained the same 30-40 lbs about 4-5 times in my…
  • Amazing! You look incredible!
  • Seriously incredible work! You look so much happier in your more recent pictures. Amazing dedication! I'm so happy for you!
  • I have no tips other than to say I'm in a similar boat right now. I started out at 179 (I'm 5'3) and got down to about 135 last December and have been creeping up lately and am sitting about 146-148 right now. Its really tough, the world is hard right now and it's easy to just eat and not hold yourself accountable. Happy…
  • My biggest NSV is that I'm BACK. I've been off and on for the last few months with everything going on but I'm back today and went for the first run in a WHILE. I sprained my ankle a while ago and i was messed up for a while, but i ran and i was slow but i did it!
  • Good for you for being back! I have two little ones too and I've found that the easiest way for me to be good about tracking is to pre-log as much as possible at the start of the day! Keeps you a little more accountable and then it's just done and you don't need to worry about it while chasing after a little one!
  • I didn't realize this was a thing until i had a larger friend mention it to me once when we went out to dinner! So glad that you can now sit anywhere you want :)
  • I've never had regular periods my entire life, except for this past year after i started eating better and exercising. I'm still not a normal 28 day cycle (my cycles are more like 35 days) but its leaps and bounds more regular that my previous which was maybe 3-4 periods a year.
  • You look incredible! Your body even at your heavier weight holds it really well (you're really proportionate is what i'm trying to say) you look great!
  • Sounds like you're doing a lot and shes a lucky lady! My hubs is also the baker in our family though his specialty is cinnamon rolls which are MURDER on my calories LOL
  • No but seriously, do some housework and she'll love you forever. My husband cleaned our bathroom last night and I swear the man looks more like brad pitt to me today its so strange.... lol
  • WOW you look amazing!!! Congratulations!
  • Dude this one too! I am super short but when i started sizing out of regular pants and was faced with either lose weight or start shopping at plus sized places. I chose to lose the weight
  • I hope that this works for you and that you have luck conceiving!!! I also had trouble TTC and after i lost about 30 lbs it was almost like a light switch went off in my body and it started working and I got pregnant really quickly! Hopefully the same is true for you!
  • I went on run today that by all accounts should not have happened. I gave myself every single excuse I could today "My legs hurt from the long run yesterday" "You don't have time to run before the kids have to be up" "Ok well now you don't have time to run because you have to go to the store" "You definitely can't run now,…
  • This is kind of a scale victory but I had an appointment with a doctor that I haven't seen in about 4 years and she looked at my chart and said "wow! you've lost a LOT of weight!" I've gained about 3 pounds recently so it was nice to have that affirmation from her that even though I'm up 3 lbs right now i'm down a LOT from…
  • Ugh, i lost my weight in a slow and I think pretty healthy way and my hair definitely still thinned. Its not horrible but I think in some ways its just a bit unavoidable. I'm vain about my hair too but I am trying to remember that the reason I am vain about my hair is that it used to be about the only thing i would ever…
  • Great job!!! As a fellow momma and runner I'm so happy for you!!! You look great and more than anything I'm so glad you feel great!
  • Ok this is a good one and one that I will likely share on the NSV thread too BUT I recently realized that after nearly a year of running that I actually genuinely truly and honestly enjoy it. It took seriously almost a year of consistent running to get here but for the first time in my entire life I actually enjoy…
  • I know for fact that this one has been said before (they mostly all have at this point though) but I have noticed extra lines on my face recently!!! :'( I noticed a new one on my cheek between my nose and cheek that was never there before! Maybe part of it is just getting older too but i swear it seems like it's because my…
  • I want to show all the people that I work with that are on expensive packaged diets that require you to buy special food and get "coaching" that you can lose weight (and more importantly keep it off) by good ole moderation and exercise.
  • That it will change the way you do even very simple small things. I noticed i don't sit the same way anymore. I never understood how people could sit cross legged (with one leg over the other) with any comfort and I notice myself sitting that way consistently recently at work. Such a strange thing!
  • Ran 7 miles today! Before today the longest I had run (in many many many years) was 5 miles. It wasn’t the fastest but I felt good the entire time! Thinking I may sign up for a half marathon this summer...
  • Agree with this so much!!!
  • So much THIS! I used to feel badly that I was taking time out of my day (even if only my lunch hour) to work out but I realized that I am so much more focused after a work out that any time lost is easily made up!
  • Congratulations!!! What a beautiful story and couple! This makes my heart so happy!!!
  • Oh the "this is the size my body wants to be..." man that was real for me. I thought that because my weight was stable even though i was obese, it meant that it would be really hard for me to maintain at a lower body weight.
  • 1,0000000% don't wait for the next day or throw away progress because of one bad meal or moment. I used to do that too. "Oh i had a cookie this morning, i guess the day is shot. McDonalds for Lunch, Oh I had McDonalds for lunch I guess i also better get a shake and eat more cookies since I'll start tomorrow, oh I messed up…
  • Great job! You can see a big difference already!
