I've never gotten them, so this is second hand advice I remember from when I was younger- try walking uphill to strengthen the muscles. I always do this when I am in running phases and remember another runner saying it helped her shin splints and wondering if my doing it was helping prevent me from getting them. Luck!

His BMI is in the healthy range. My 6'5"er used to weigh around 180. I like him best around 220. But what he looks like is what he looks like. It doesn't change because of the number. An unconventional suggestion: sweeten black tea (or whatever) with 2tbsp xylitol. I drink small amounts of xylitol each day, but I did this once and it was a shock to my system. No pain, but way effective.
