I would never eat 'em dry. I usually soak 50 gr. of rolled oats in about 200 ml of water for a while (overnight if possible, otherwise +/- 10 minutes at least). Be advised: There is no such thing as spot reduction. Fat will disappear, but your body will decide from where and in what order. So, just keep at it and eventually you'll lose it.
