Your diary shows you eating 1400 cals a day. You may want to try to up your calorie intake by a couple hundred cals. You may be holding weight because your not eating enough (starvation mode). Are you eating over your BMR?

I have never really been much of a swimmer but last year I started swimming the breast stroke(froggy style) and had great results. But had no accurate calorie count to work with. Kayaking would be a great burn, sounds like fun =)

I pre-pack snacks the night befoe. Jif makes little "to-go" cups of peanut butter I will eat that with an apple. I also have a really good lunch bag that I stick in the freezer at night and pack the next morning. It stays cold really well so I will bring cottage cheese and triscuits, yogurt and Naked Juice. I am a bartender so I am on my feet movng constantly. I do work in a two story building, my bar is on the 2nd floor with the kitchen on the first floor. I manage to run up and down those steps atleast 30 times a day. :)
